OKAY! OKAY!!! :eek: :eek: It's a lifestyle change I need and not another diet!! No more scams or empty promises. No more hollywood diets or gratefruit diets or drink 5 shakes a day diets. You see, guys, I've been on every diet (nearly) and they just don't work. So, since I desperately need to lose weight, and a lot of it, I'm going to try it the right way - actually eating and eating more of the right foods. I have already found a lot of support and help from Pat and Glad - I need to PM you my stats - and Villette. So, kicking and screaming because I got myself into this mess, here I am to join your club. I need all your support and help and sometimes maybe a reality check, but if it's not too late, I'm here. I want everyone to know that I've been reading this thread and using ideas, but not posting. I did lose 2 pounds this week. It's exciting to be motivated, for a change. I sure can't wait for summer to get here though, so I'm not paying premium prices for fruits and veggies! Yikes, I paid $3.99 for a half pint of black berries! But oh boy, they were good. And I guess that's about the same price as chips o'hoy cookies! |

I know some of the fruit can be expensive out of season but I still just eat apples, personally for myself. But, don't think of it as being expensive, because you're saving bunches of money by NOT buying junk food! You're probably ahead of the game this way. |

I thought we had a lot more people than was on the 1st list. I hope and pray for those that started that they'll stay with us for their health's sake. You can not go wrong with eating in the direction we're heading you to. It's very healthy. Make sure you PM your stats to Glad. You can send them in and not be on the list that's sent out to others, if you so desire to not publish your own stats. Good luck to all. I am so glad that I started with this group. Today is hubby's birthday and I told him I would pick up a cake on way home. He said "Can you eat cake on your diet?" I told him I'm not on a diet, I'm eating healthy for life. I said I'd probably have a teeny tiny piece, but NO ICE CREAM. That's a big change for me, so I'm counting it as a positive one! And, I'm drinking extra water today to flush my body. |
