YT Holiday Card Exchange 2013
 
I will be posting signups for our 8th annual holiday card exchange in Nov., a wonderful tradition started by twalla. I look forward to doing this again and the great part about it is - it's open to ALL members. Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year! and I can hardly contain the excitement, so the question here is . . .

Omg yayayy!! I *just* took down last year's cards...LOL. Oops. They were just so cute. So happy summer is almost over because now the good stuff happens (halloween, thanksgiving, christmas!!)

Now to think of a theme..since ya know..there will be 2 pups in this year's pic!

P.S. thank you SO much Thuy for doing this! It really brightened my day to see the cards in my mailbox and it was all thanks to you for signing up to run the submission! :love:

Can I ask that you change the name back to holiday card exchange so others of different religions feel free to participate?

The holiday card exchange is a favorite tradition of mine!

Never knew there was such a thing. . . How does it work ?

Does it need to be a card with our babies on it or Yorkie related ?

It can be any kind of card. The object is to just have fun and socialize. Most people take pictures of their Yorkies and put them on a card, either by themselves or of the entire family. You're good either way, no matter what kind of card you send. I usually go to Sam's Club to get mine printed. I've found they have the best price in my area. You'll find me sitting on the curb waiting for the postman each day! Lol I ran out of room last year and had to start taping them to my French doors. Lol

We're in! YT members made our holiday so joyful last year! :) On Nov.30th., I was trying to re-take Yazmin's photos for our cards but suffered a stroke that day instead! I can laugh about now because at the time, the Paramedics kept asking, "Why is Toto dressed up like Mrs.Claus?":confused: :D
While in the hospital and for weeks later, I received so many beautiful cards from YT members, it definitely brightened my spirits and made my Christmas one that I'll always remember!

I remember your thread, bless your heart. I was really sad to see so many going through such difficult times last year. The HCE really does bring members together. Thanks for sharing your story.

And Yazmin is such a cutie in her holiday wear! :)

Dawn, I think you will enjoy it. The minimum requirement is 5 cards sent to members below you on the list and photos with themes are optional.

Oh my! I'm sorry about your health situation last year but I've got to admit I'm sitting here laughing out loud looking at Yasmin's photo & picturing her running around the house looking like that with the paramedics there! She's darling! Take care.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, I've recovered very well since last year! ;) I can't begin to thank all the magnificent YT members who sent us cards, it truly made our holiday a blessing.

Thank you Tessa327 for doing such a wonderful job organizing the holiday card exchange, we're looking forward to participating again this year. :)

Dawn, The photo of Quincy is hysterical! I'd would've loved to have received that one on a holiday card also! :D

Thank you Lisa, I'm so much better now. :) I admit, I was a little annoyed with the Paramedics for calling Yazmin, "Toto" but I'm sure it's not everyday they run into Yorkie's dressed up like Mrs.Claus in November either! :D
I remember after getting out of the hospital, I read where someone was so frustrated because they couldn't get a perfect photo of their dogs for the Christmas Card Exchange. I thought, "Oh Dear Lord"! :eek:
I replied and told them to be happy with what they had, the stress of a perfect photo wasn't worth having a stroke! :D
