Awesome! He is a big one for the first! I thought it would be a girl, but am happy all is well! Now waiting for the name......

I know this has no bearing on our lives here in the USA but I am so over the moon happy! I had a special place in my heart for Diana. I think it was because she was that fairytale princess when I was in Jr High. :)

After her death, I felt like I was drawn to watch everything her sons did and how they matured. I just adore both of them but William reminds me of her so much. I am just so happy for him..and for Kate, of course :D

One of the reporters said that it would be something " proper," not like "Apple," or "North West"! Lol

Me, too! I love Princess Diana for her quiet demeanor and have followed the lives of her sons growing up. Now a new generation is born!

Aww yeay!! I just love them, Wow 8 pounds!! LOL Big boy.

I loved Princess Diana as well, I’m sure she is around them at this time.

He's a hefty size but both of his parents are quite tall so I guess he's got some long bones in him. I'll bet he's going to be tall, too. Can't wait to see the little guy.

As I'm a doll collector, I hope there are some quality collectible Little Prince ________ dolls out in a few months. I'd rather have had a Little Princess doll but I'll take a boy one just the same.

long post...lost....anyway...Yay Baby...long live the memory of Diana and hope that she too was remembered today as they welcomed their baby in to this world...as a mom...I hope that someone was there to say "your mom would be so proud William" or maybe William said "I wish my mum was here"...I just can't imagine the tremendous joy this would have brough to Diana and how the world just be a little brighter with her still in it as a Grandma! I'm very happy for Will and Kate....can't wait to see the name...

Could you imagine how the world would have stood still with a collective WoW had they had a girl and named her Diana? Honestly imagine that thought for a minute....

I told my husband the very same thing...if they had a girl! Great minds think alike!

Next one could be a little girl and she could be Princess Alexandra Diana Elizabeth or something like that.

I'm hoping for Prince James William Phillip George and they call him Jamie. Only problem is Kate has a brother named James and that might stand in the way.

I was so hoping if they would have had a little girl, they would have named her Alexandria Diana Elizabeth.................OMG!!! Jeanie, I just looked up and read your post! We picked the same name for the little girl!!!! Well, that is it!!! Who do we contact about this??????????!!!!!!!!!!!

Scary, huh? I'm a doll collector and could just see one of those lifesize beautiful creations done by that Swedish doll artist, calling it Princess Alexandra, all decked out in little girl princess finery and a little tiara - to add to my collection. Sigh. Maybe the next one will be a girl. And I love the name "Alexandra" for a girl. Oh, well.

OMG I actually wondered if they were going to do that, too! So glad I'm not the only one. I love the royals & all, but if they did that, I would have rolled my eyes so hard, you could hear them! LOL!:rolleyes:

Exciting news for the royal family though, I can't wait to see the little man!! :p

What I thought was so lovely, was that they waited 4 hours between Kate actually giving birth, and the aide leaving the hospital to go in his limo to Buckingham Palace to post the news on 'the easel'.

They have said that that will be THE only time in their whole lives, that the new baby Prince would be totally, completely theirs...just the privacy of their own little threesome. I found that really touching :) Sally x

i was hoping a girl to get diana names in hers somewhere as well. how fabulous cannot wait to see the beautiful bundle of royalness. at least the baby is a cancer sign like diana was!!!

Kate sure makes childbirth look easy! I couldn't walk well for the first week after my son was born.

I was thinking that, too!!!!! :eek:

I know she's tall, but she's very, very slight and that baby was quite big relatively speaking....how on earth did she manage that walking business so easily?!!? :D Sally x

Who knows!? I know that I could not have!!i I refused to take any type of drug to help with the pain.

He's named after my cat :D Fabulous name! :thumbup: Nice and traditional too! :)

The papers were full of gorgeous piccies of our future king and Kate looking positively radiant and serene :wub: Wills looked very protective too - don't think he likes the press much but regards them as a 'necessary evil' ;) :D
