You can grind almonds, add yogurt (plain) and honey and make your own cleanser. Its supposed to exfoliate, yogurt detoxifies and honey is moisturizing.

I think it's okay to get off topic in off topics! Just want to say, I'm so sorry, I thought I had sensitive skin because it breaks out with different products, but yours sounds so painful.

I think you'll love it bc one of the things I love about it is how clean/easy it rinses off. I use my Clarisonic with it (but you can just use fingers too), and then throw water on my face a few times and it's gone. It takes off any eye makeup and everything.

No worries about hijacking...we're talkin' skin...so you're right on topic :).

Try diluting the cleanser in the palm of your hand first, then apply it to your face, and remove it with water only, no rubbing. Then gently pat your face with a soft (or slightly damp) washcloth to dry. I cleanse my face in the shower most the time, then apply the moisturizer after I get out.

I use something similar from Tarte, but it's a powder. It basically that, it blurs all lines and pores. The first time I used it, I was like WOW! So I use that to set my makeup too.

I've used products with salicylic acid before, it worked well on pimples, but for pores I didn't notice any difference for me. I've always had larger pores on my nose, not really much anywhere else.

So I bought a 10x little mirror! YIKES!!!! LOL Good news, I do not have clogged pores, bad news, I seem to have large pores! LOL I use pore refining cream from Clinique, it just fills in pores so your skin looks more smooth and even toned. I like it a lot! Sometimes just mixing a little bit of liquid concealer with your daily moisturizer is enough to fill in pores and even your skin out.

Of course your pores are going to look huge when you magnify them 10X! Lol :p If you can't see them in a normal mirror, then they're not big. I have that same Clinique stuff, btw. I like it too!

I'm a HUGE fan of my Clarisonic! I got the Mia 2 just because it was a Today's Special Value on QVC and it was on Easy Pay. I don't know if it unclogs my pores but it definitely gets my face squeeky clean. For clearing out my pores, I love the Michael Todd True Organics Charcoal Detox Mask.

OMG those 10X magnifying mirrors are scary, aren't they? My dermatologist told me to throw mine away because I was beginning to think that every fine line was a huge canyon.

yes... I really just bought it to pluck my eyebrows a bit b/t waxings. I should have just stuck with the car rearview mirror! LOL I just felt weird sitting in my driveway in my car, not running, plucking my eyebrows! LOL

Those 10x mirrors because my obsession for awhile, I bought mine for the same reason and ended up spending time every evening examining every pore on my face (can you say OCD). I had to store mine away and use it only for plucking.

Seriously who hase eyes that can see things 10x larger? No one I know of. I just keep telling myself that...repeatedly.

It comes with a charger.... can't tell with the Sirius... it did say 'batteries' though so I'm thinking they're replaceable.

I just got mine last night and it's rechargeable. I have the Olay brush, and I think this is much more powerful and I feel like it did more than the Olay brush did.

I retrieved an ancient Salton cleansing brush from the depths of a closet the other day... it still works! and has 2 speeds, slow and slower. But JFTHOI I started using it and I saw results (good ones, lol) just after one use! Old brushes too! I was ready to give up and just hide in a closet for the remainder of my days....

The Sonic uses 2 AA Batteries (lasts about 10 months). Comes with 5 brush heads. I'm liking this one!

Congrats!! You're going to LOVE it! I haven't had a problem with my battery at all. In fact, it lasts so long on a charge that sometimes I forget that there's actually a battery in it. I keep it in the shower & wait until the charge is really low before I recharge. I don't know if that has anything to do with how great the battery is. I'm going to check out that Nubrilliance now. :p

Yes! I do it with the Clarisonic. I used to use sugar & jojoba oil. But the Clarisonic seems to work just as well. Plus, that's one less thing on my bathroom counter ;)

That Nubrilliance seems really cheap for what it's supposed to do. I'm going to read up on that & find some reviews. Sounds interesting.

I used to get microbrasion done regularly when I lived in NYC. When I moved to NJ, I couldn't find the perfect place & going into the city for microbrasion is such a hassle. I started using "Modern Friction" by Origins (Modern Friction™ | Origins.com). I swear it's just as good as traditional microbrasion. And it's a tiny fraction of the price. Their "Checks & Balances Frosty Face Wash" is a winner too.

Humm, $14.95 for a trial, then total of $240 to purchase. Not exactly cheap IMO, but worth it if it does all it claims.

I actually purchased it, and I've been pretty happy with it, I had some rough patches on my temple from sun damage, and after about three secessions, that went away. It leaves you really red afterwards, but no pain, and I've only used it about once a month, for maybe a year, but I think I'm going to start using it more and in conjunction with some of these other treatments.

I saw a Christy Brinkley on television and she really looks great, she's my age and she says that she's hasn't had plastic surgery, but that she has a wonderful dermatologist. It just makes me think that there are indeed products and procedures that slow down the aging process. Anyway, I love to occasionally pamper myself, and I hate going to beauty shops and spas, so these home treatments are ideal for me.

Me too, until I started ordering it. Although it really does sound interesting, and all these things are a lot cheaper than the procedures I've paid for at the Medi-Spa, and probably less painful too.
