I use a St. Ives Make-Up Remover and Facial Cleanser that removes eye make-up, takes care of clogged pores and doesn't burn eyes. I picked it up in a pinch a while back at the grocery store(!) and have used in ever since in place of those more expensive ones because it works. And it's the only one I've found that doesn't burn my eyes. |
I used to use St Ives Apricot scrub. It cleared my pores well and when I used it I always got compliments on my skin. But more and more makeup artists have told me not to use it. Too harsh. |
I can't use the SI apricot scrub - it just scalds my skin. But the make-up remover, facial cleanser is so mild yet really cleans up my whiteheads. And does away with eye make up without burning my eyes OR being oily. I hate the oily junk. |

ok... I keep coming back to this thread!!!!!! I have been using Mary kay for many years.. but the past couple of years I started using products that have DMAE. Dmae firms the skin (being closer to 60 every year that is important) I found it at drugestore.com..very inexpensive. I also watch dr. oz and it has been recommended to use DMAE, Vit C, Vit A...so I do. Last Christmas I got a clairsonic and I just LOVE it. It has improved the texture of my skin. I have fairly good skin for my age...which is a amazing concidering I am a child of the 70 and have lots of sun burns and hours in the sun. so now... I am going to willing buy s device and prick my skin with needles. yea baby!!! |

From: http://www.new-spa.us/faqmicroneedle Stainless steel needles are made of medical grade SUS-304 steel (the same grade of steel used for manufacturing of hypodermic needles). The thickness of the wire, used for the needles is 0.20mm in diameter. Titanium needles are made of medical grade SUS-304 steel covered with titanium vapor - the composition widely used in implant surgery. It makes the steel stronger but at the same time the wire becomes thicker up to 0.30mm. The punctures made by titanium needles are larger and more visible. The span life of titanium needles is 6 month VS 3 months for stainless steel. |

After too many years of sun in Arizona and Maui, I'm paying the price. I had FX laser on my face last fall, which was effective but very expensive and painful. So when I see reviews of people who have also had expensive invasive derm treatments say that this lil microneedle derm roller gives similar results, I am all in. |
Skin Care Club Hey, remember this similar thread 2 years ago? http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...care-club.html Lots of good info was shared. I got the Olay brush, and think it really helps, although I am inconsistent in using it. It is only around $30, so much cheaper than the Clarisonic, and I wonder if anyone has used both and can give reviews. |

Now I need a tutorial on the skin peels, how do you decide what's best for your skin, and do the really make your skin peel? |

I bought two, but I'm not sure I'm going to try it yet, lol. It works the same way as a wound, lol, all the science that goes on in your skin to heal the wound happens when you use the roller on your face! Point being it makes your skin cells grow and shed faster, and with weekly or biweekly wounding, the collagen builds up fast! |

So this microneedling and Clairsonic stuff, does it actually work for clearing pores or just for reducing lines? I don't really need to reduce lines but I do have clogged pores. |

I had really oily skin as a teenager and now iny early 20s my face is sadly sensitive to everything I ever try. I cannot use the clarisonic, products targeted to sensitive skin give me a rash, Anything exfliating makes my face actually bloody and raw. .ugh! I am a huge huge fan of Lush Cosmetics, they are Canada based and all their products are made with natural ingredients, lots of them vegan. I use a cleanser with calamine, lavender, honey, and a bunch if other skin soothing ingredients. It still makes my face burn when I use it but I haven't found anything better. I have huge pores from back when I had lots of blackheads but they are unclogged now, just remain huge and I have so much redness and irritation :( Anything under the sun you can think of will burn my face. Anyone know of a simple, limited ingredient cleanser with no exfoliation beads, no harsh chemicals, perfumes, dyes, etc? I've tried Chanel, drugstore, Laura Mercier, Bioderma, Purity...like everything! |
