Jeanie, stay safe. Did anyone see the Weather Channel and the little lady holding her Yorkie as she was walking around? The poor little lady looked like she was in shock. |

Now they are saying 7 of the dead are little children. |
I am in California watching all this and just praying for everyone involved. We can't imagine how bad the winds are there. I hope there is an underground shelter you can go to. Grab family, Yorkies, bible, food , photos and leave. Prayers are being said for you and I am listening to my radiio and just wishing this whole storm will blow over. I love you all and the precious Yorkies must be so scared. |

The storm coming toward us should be here in about an hour. So it will be a late night. My sister had one go through. She was at the school storm shelter but they are all safe. She has another one heading her way as well. There was a wall cloud but no tornadoes down in our area. |

PS Praying for your sister too. |

I'm sure come tomorrow those numbers will change...they are just falling into night now...further hampering rescue efforts etc. Very sad. |

Sending prayers Rhonda!!! |
I saw these 2 men standing beside what used to be a home with a huge 10 - 12 foot pile of debris, lumber, metal, concrete, etc., behind them, even an upside down truck or vehicle thrown on it and right there in front of that huge pile was the opening to the tiny underground storm shelter that saved their lives and that of their neighbors'. It was pretty clear that that pile of debris was stuff from other homes too. One tree had been debarked and had a few limbs left on it and driven onto those limbs of the tree and driven up into its trunk was a big slab of plywood, stuck there with limbs sticking through it! It had slammed so fast into that tree, the few limbs actually pierced that plywood rather than break themselves! Once when McKinney, Texas had a bad tornado, my father drove us up to see my aunt and uncle living there. They were fine and so was their house but neighbors had lost their homes all around. We saw a telephone pole with a broom driven through it. I'll never forget that sight among all the devastation, that stuck in my memory. |
Ok we are safe. It was tense for a few minutes but calmer now. We are out of safe room. Mikki is terrified. But Rosie is doing ok. DH is driving now to see if any damage. Praying that others are as lucky as us as the storm continues to move. |
Oh thank goodness, Rhonda. I'm smiling. Finally some good news. I imagine it was so hairy and no wonder you and those babies are ragged. It sounds just like a man to go looking for damage and what he can do! What would we do without them? |
He won't get in the safe room with me. I think he is stupid! He said debris on the roads but don't appear to have any other damage. |
Glad it doesn't seem too bad. Why won't get get in the safe room with you? Is he claustrophobic and doesn't want to tell you or just being a tough guy? I'll bet your were scared silly!!!!!! |

Oh thank God you are all safe. My heart has been in my throat. How tragic and sad. I'm so sorry for everyone who has been touched by the destruction. |
I am relieved you are safe. Praying Mikki is feeling better now. |
I just saw the death toll in OK is up to 51 :( The sky is scary over here but so far no warning sirens or anything. Me and the babies go in the closet if we have to. Prayers and hope to everyone in the thick of it still. |

This weather system is so scary. We just started getting thunder and lightning but only severe thunderstorms predicted no tornados. This is the first big scary storm since Ken passed and I am scared. He always got the candles and flashlights out and I felt safer with him here. I hope everyone stays safe. |

Trust me Patti.....Ken is right there with you! You just go about and do the things he used to do....candles and flashlights....something to light those candles with, and be sure you have good batteries for your flashlights. You have to do like we do right before hurricane season starts....flashlight check, battery check, battery operated radio check,...I am sure Ken had a time of the year he did all that....you do that now, for y'all. |
All my friends in Texas. Prayers for your safety. I am so scared just thinking you may get a hit from all this mess. Is the closet safe enough? Can you relocate to another city like the hurricane people do? Do you go somewhere underground? I have never been through stuff like this and I wish you would not have to either. May you all be under divine protection during this time. |
