Kerra..Somewhere Over The Rainbow Yesterday we were preparing for our family baby shower for Kerra's new baby brother to be. It was only myself and my mother and Kerra at the banquet hall and I talked her into singing for us. She is in the school talent show this Thursday and this is the song she is singing. We are hoping she wins again this year..it will make three years in a row winning first place is she does. I am one proud NaNa :) |

Talent show was yesterday and Kerra won 2nd place. I wish I could have been there. My Daughter in law said the girl who won 1st place was amazing. She taught herself to play and Adele song on piano (without sheet music) and sang the song. She said it was really amazing. Kerra was happy to win 2nd and get her cash prize :p haha |

That's beautiful, Melanie. Her voice has matured and just sitting there like that and singing on request when she really wasn't even trying hard, she couldn't help but sound wonderful. I imagine when she is actually on stage and really "on", an audience before her, she can lay them in the aisles with that beautiful voice. That was so pretty coming from that little dark-haired beauty. I can't imagine she didn't win first prize! I sure hope she can stay with her singing and sing for millions one day if she wants to pursue it. |

just checking in to see how she did in the show, that's great she placed second, sounds like the school has some good talent. LOL I still think it should have been first, but I guess I am a little prejudiced:D On the other hand it is probably good that she is among other talented kids, I know she already works hard but a little completion is always good to make someone keep pushing on. How do they vote on the winners at these shows? |
She has the most beautiful voice for a girl her age! Encourage her to keep singing and perhaps take voice lessons. That is a gift she has been given and she will keep getting better with guidance. I love the sweet sound of her voice and you should be very proud of her! |
