mayor on scanner thanking his officers |
I hope we don't see anything like this again anytime soon! And I hope they can learn how this happened that he was taken in by this country with his family and then goes against it like this! An 8 year old boy and 2 others murdered outright, so many maimed for life, innocent police officer killed, another transit officer injured. So much misery - what caused it? |
Pretty proud of American law enforcement right now! I sure hope they can get some rest tonight. Job well done. |

Yeah! The FBI and other law enforcement agencies did a fantastic job! |
I really hope this is the right guy and not just someone they're putting blame on because of the public's demand for fast, immediate results. That happens way too often than is really known. And if it is the right guy, I hope he falls HARD. |

Yes, these are not "national terrorists" but because of the public and media frenzy, even with "proof" it was a cluster mess. I'm just saying I want the RIGHT person caught, not just the first one they think may be it. |

I am so happy that all the people there can rest tonight |
I think the odds are pretty high that these brothers were the perps (although there may have been others in addition to them). They have them on video dropping a backpack by the little boy that was murdered in the explosion. They found mangled pressure cookers at the scene, and at one point during the chase early this morning, one of those brothers threw a pressure cooker -- along with other explosives -- at the cops that failed to explode. There were also other explosives found were they lived, and at least one of the brothers was actually identified in a photo line-up by the guy at the finish line (the one in the gruesome photos with his legs blown off). Lets assume that they saw the FBI presser yesterday and saw that they were being fingered but they were innocent. They panicked and decided to run. They carjacked someone and were later spotted and were chased by LEO. During the chase, there just happened to have a pressure cooker that they tossed at their chasers. What are the odds of that? What a coincidence! Yes, I know that in this country we are assumed innocent until proven guilty, thank goodness for that. He will receive due process. And yes, I may already have an opinion as to his guilt, but since the chance that I will sit on his jury or have any sort of influence over the decision is a big fat zero, my opinion does not matter as it will have no impact. I find it interesting that intelligence in a foreign country warned the US a couple of years ago to check out the older brother and keep an eye on him. Then for 6 months last year, he freely goes to Russia and then returned to the US. Wasn't he on a watch list? When he came into the US many years ago he (or his parents, since he was a minor at the time) claimed political asylum. Why would he feel comfortable going back for 6 months if their original reason for coming here was the need for asylum? But the bigger question in my mind is could this have been prevented. |

I still have my doubts about the Christopher Dorner case. And all the evidence they actually had against Casey Anthony and she walks free! I think at least now everyone will have to rethink their prejudices against Muslims and people who they think look Muslim. At first didn't they have a Saudi guy for questioning? Just bc he's a Saudi and was near the area they took him in? These guys are described as white males with darker complexions. Not brown skinned with a long beard, wearing a turban. And I for one am VERY surprised they took him in alive! I thought for sure they would shoot on sight. Like when LAPD fired on two old newspaper delivering ladies they thought was Dorner when they weren't even in the same make, model, or color of pickup truck! |
Apparently their parents brought the kids and themselves to America to escape the horrors of the Checen war and this country takes them in and then you hear from TV reporters on more than one channel today that the mother is saying the U. S. Government was behind 9/11 - killing almost 3k of our citizens to turn Americans against all Muslims! And then her two boys wreak such havoc on our country. The cost of all of this with the pain and misery, the suffering, deaths, medical costs, legal costs, law enforcement, loss productivity of a huge region for a day and the legal/confinement costs related to Dzhokhar will I imagine approach tens of millions of tax-payer dollars. Wonder if the family of those boys who still lives in America called the tip line after those photos and videos were released by the FBI yesterday? You know they for certain knew that was Tamerlan and Dzhokhar - maybe not the uncle but certainly his sister. I'll bet some of their friends at school and coworkers did. |
I'm just saying I don't believe everything the media tells us. |
