Jobless blues
I got a new job about a month ago. It was good pay, no nights or weekends, jeans, relaxed small atmosphere. It was great and going well. This week things were really slow and not so good. The company was a start up company. I went to work Wed. and pulled in the parking lot and there are only a few cars there. Hummm, strange, I walk in and they say the computer system is down and everyone is taking the day off. I get a call in the afternoon saying we are clsoing the doors today. They ran out of investor money. Wow, this has happened to me before and of course it was also a job I loved with a great group of people. I am now back in my basement office selling auto insurance throughout the US. Its ok but gets lonely being by yourself all the time. I love start ups and this is the risk I take but it always the best ones that seem to fail :( Sigh |
