iPhone users: Favorite Siri questions When I got my iPhone 5, I didn't think Siri was going to be that big of a deal. All I knew it did was answer silly questions. But since then, I've discovered I can hardly live without it. Reminders, even complicated ones, are a snap. Asking for wakeup calls sets the alarm in a hurry. The more I experiment, the more things I'm discovering she can do. Here are some of the more practical things I use her for. If you've got some others, please add them. Also, if you have some silly answers you've stumbled on, add those too for laughs! * Wake me up at 8 in the morning (sets alarm for 8 a.m.) * Wake me up in 7 hours. * Remind me at 3 p.m. to pick up the dogs from the groomer (Sets a reminder to go off at 3 p.m.) * Starting Saturday, remind me every other Saturday at 10 a.m. that I have a therapy dog appointment with Eddie. (Sets a reminder to go off bi-weekly at 10 a.m. on Saturday. * Remind me when I reach this location that I have a budget meeting at 3 p.m. (Sets a reminder to go off as soon as I arrive at work.) * Tell Kelly I love you. (Sends a text to Kelly). I used to say "Tell Kelly I love her," but Siri would send her the message "I love her." :D * Call Kelly at work (Calls Kelly at the office) For the alarms and reminders, she always shows me the action first before setting it. Then I can confirm, change or delete. |
Wow I have Siri on my I Phone 4S I didn't know it could do all that. I manually set all my reminders, calendars etc. Thanks for the info. I'll have to experiment. |

Wow, this is something I didn't know she could do. I always just played around. :D. I will definitely start taking Siri more seriously! |
I still have the iPhone 4 No Siri on it. But do have it on my iPad. May have to use it more :) |
Siri can not say my name right. I feel insulted, will complain to Apple :) |
Patti just told me about Siri and about this thread. I didn't even know I had it! Now I'm experimenting and will be watching this thread for any more ideas! Thanks Mike...and Patti! |

I have a co worker that argues with Suri....then Suri got mad at her and she told me Suri called her a b*tch! I told her I just did not see how a telephone could do all that, and she came into my office and showed me!! As God is my witness, Suri actually called her a B*TCH!!! I heard it with my own two ears!! Now, I dont know if she fixed the phone so it would do that, but I heard it! |

I too recommend iCloud & DropBox. There are so many options to store and backup data, now which to choose from? Gotta love new technology, it's so confusing yet useful  |
Here's a PC Mag article...if you scroll through to 21-30 there's some humorous questions that siri answers ;) Siri's Sense of Humor - 30 Questions and Commands for Siri | PCMag.com And here's some more posted on FB https://m.facebook.com/pages/Funny-S...932213967&_rdr |

I want to add that I am guilty of asking Siri stupid questions out of pure boredom or maybe I don't know how to use it effectively. Good thread Alaska, very helpful. That's the only compliment you'll get out of me. |

Hee hee I set my hubby's Siri to call him "Cupcake" He is technologically impaired so he can't figure out how to change it. I love it when he uses it in front of his guy friends:p |
Siri is good at helping me set reminders but she is a pain in the butt for any other questions. She seems to not understand me very often. DH loves talking to Siri- they flirt. LOL! |
It can also send emails. My daughter is a teacher and will ask her to send the list of teachers an email reminder for mettings each week or send this one teacher this email on such and such a date. This link has a few more ideas. Apple - iOS - Siri Frequently Asked Questions |

I've NEVER used Siri before. I hate talking to robots. Esp when I call like FedEX or something and I have to tell the robot what I need. It just feels weird. I have no problem talking to inanimate objects in person though. Online chat too. I think they are bots. I had a chat sessions with ebay before, and I asked if she was a robot. The responses were too "canned". She said she wasn't a robot, but after she answered my question I told her "thank you robot". |
