I am so tired after the Christmas rush, which wasn't even that busy. We made money but not like last year. Now they are coming in for exchanges and buying extra parts, great, but I don't feel good! I have a sore throat, and when I cough my brain hurts. My back and neck feels achy. I feel cold, but not quite feverish but I think I have the flu coming on.

Whoa is me!! :(:(:( Who wants to feel sorry for me? :rolleyes:

That's what I have. I've had it for 14 days. First it was just a sore throat (but not typical...it didn't hurt when I talked, just hurt all-around). Then it was a cough and now I'm throwing up. I think it's multiple things though, and not just one. At least, according to the doc.

Take it as easy as you can, drink lots of warm water with apple cider vinegar and honey... :) It's helped me immensely.

I am so sorry you don't feel well. It sucks to be sick!!! Drink a hot toddy. :p You will feel better! :D:D

Oh wow, seems easy enough! I will make mine with rum. I don't have honey though. I actually don't like honey. :eek:

I'm starting to feel dizzy and am getting chills. Time to go home.

Hot toddy's are a good ole southern cure. I think the honey actually helps with coughing. It will make you sleep. :D

Me, I feel sorry for you cuz its a long haul this thing going around...I have been sick for awhile, 2 weeks, I never get sick. Went to Dr today cuz my chest is so tight, my legs still hurt, I'm sore from coughing...turns out I'm magnesium, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 and Potassium deficient...rx for vitamins, steroids, zpack and codeine/Tylenol cough syrup....however; he told me that if I have the Hot Toddy, no cough syrup.

My recommendation: run now and get Chloraseptic, use it. My ex swears by it and use to make me do it at the first sign of a sore throat...I didn't use it this time...I've learned my lesson...but he doesn't need to know....:D

I honestly truly pray that you don't get what I have and whats going around here with everyone....its awful...

btw: Hot Toddy's really, really, really, to help you to sleep and cures the throat issue....! I just can decide if I like it better with Brandy or BV...hmmmm:eek:

Brandy, Rum, Bourbon, Jim Beam, etc. Doesn't really matter. :D They all do the trick!! Lol. It which TASTE you like better!! :p:p:p

Honey's great for the throat - but if you don't like it, try agave. You can find it in the baking area (usually) and comes in a similar bottle like honey :)

Bf got me some honey n lemon. I made mine strong so inhaling the vapors immediately opened up the nasal passages. I've got on my hello kitty beanie, got the heater in, n staring to get buzzed so I thunk ill survive.

Lynzy, sorry u got sick too! Like u I haven't been sick in ages so I hope its not too bad. Hope u r finally starting to feel better.

How are you feeling I hope better. Well after a few of those hot toddy's I don't think you will care lol j/k . . . One of the reasons there is honey in it is because it is medicinal. Just make sure you use raw honey. Best kind.

I don't know if its raw. But its in a bear bottle. Lol like that helps almost all of them are.

The raw ones usually come in a glass jar and sometimes have pieces of honeycomb in them. I find them to be not as sweet as the bear kind.

Wow I had no idea what a Hot Toddy was either! Will keep this on file should I get sick, which I invariably will! :)

Another good honey thing is if you have pollen allergies find honey made in your area so it is made with local pollen and by eating a spoonful a day you built up pollen tolorence so less sinus problems :)

Did you get B12 pills or shots? I have issues with my B12 and since the body does not absorb B12 in pill form I have to get weekly B12 shots BLAH I hate needles!!

Tis the season to get sick definitely/ My daughter and I were both sick with terrible sinus infections for about two weeks going into christmas and I had to just go on i work in retail and it was crazy busy and stunk the big one. I hope your better soon

Raw is usually better. We have a family down the street that sells it. :). So we get fresh, raw, and local! :)

Many doctors treat local allergies with a bit of local honey! I don't have the allergies but just in case I only buy local honey.

Just seeing this thread and hope that you are feeling better by now and not getting sicker. Go to the doctor if it hangs on and you already haven't.

Capt'n, it aint no fun that's for sure! I'm going on day 5 with it and I missed work yesterday because of it. Sinus pressure so bad my teeth hurt...

Ugh now on top of it all, I got my period too! :mad: so now not only do my joints ache, my head hurts, my throat sore, my hands tingling, now I have cramps to go along with it!

However the hot toddys did seem to help. Too bad I can't be drinking them all day.
