Having a bad attitude, grumpy picking fights type week...
 
I sooo feel sorry for friends and coworkers that have to be around me this week lol
Pain plus no sleep equal just grumpy evil mean wanting to argue about the color of the sky side of me... I do not even like being around myself this week :p

I have moments where my pain levels spike higher than usual and I lose feeling and strength in my left hand which is annoying... But now after the vet calling saying we need to drop off Guinness in the morning for more testing I am too busy being scared and panicking to even think about me. :(

I know that kind of pain and understand. The spikes are the worse. It's like you want to rip off someone's head and spit down their throat. I become a hermit. Just left alone. So hugs to you. I hope the pain goes back to a managing level.

Yep that's the pain level lol go back and forth between ripping heads off OR just sawing off my shoulder hmm :p I think I am going to break out the stronger med's tonight just to get sleep but I hate taking them.

I had rotator cuff surgery exactly 1 year ago, all was good until I became superwoman and moved...apparently all the lifting etc., did a number on me...I'm in constant pain again and dread having to call the surgeon about this....I just don't know what to do....

Hope you feel better soon...

e.t.a. I'm a bit loopy now from the pain meds that I only take at night...:D

Sounds like me, I need surgery AGAIN but refuse to go for round 5 so I just get shots to avoid it :p
Knock on wood.. My knees and herniated have been playing nice lately... The fibro not so much :rolleyes:

See??? I told you in that PM to take care of yourself and you clearly are not. Bad, bad Alisha. I can tell from your posts you have been way overextending so slow yourself down right this minute. Is your mom living, do you mind my asking? If not, I'm going to speak for her and tell you right now, missy, take - it - easy. Get some sleep or at least get in bed and put on some music, take a sedative or something. Get off your feet some. Take some time for just you. January - March with that new puppy are going to be very taxing so start to rest a little now. Don't make me and a few others come down there!!!!

Okay, Lynzy. You, too. Take it easy as that moving and losing your dog for a while, all that searching and all your fairly recent upheaval has no doubt wrung you out so get down, get your feet up, rest that shoulder with your arm in a sling at home when you can and rest. You young ladies on here are overdoing - way overdoing. Now get to bed, young lady!

As far as mom... Yes she is alive BUT we have nothing to do with each other since I was around 5 years old soooo doesn't really count that she is alive lol my dad is the one who gets onto me but he has no room to talk :p we get to spend father daughter time at the Orthopedic center here between my neck and knees and his back and wrist. I just need to slow down and take my med's like I am suppose to... And well stressing which is impossible after the vet calling tonight saying Guinness has to be dropped off first thing in the morning for testing :(

Somebody at the Dr's office told me about those and I was wondering if they really worked because the lady seemed a tad short of sandwiches in her picnic basket :p

Perfect miracle no, actually help yep sure does.

Don't know why but I don't take pain meds so it really helps, there are better versions but they are more than 10 times the price.

My aunt says it's all in my head...I loaned her my knee brace...I had to buy a new one it's in her head now too lol.

I see it this way if it can't hurt...why not try it?

As far as Nopalea, I like it, I take a different brand now but that one is nationally availble at a reasonable price.

I am willing to try anything new at least once :p My dr tried to give me a script for methadone, I told him wear he could shove that piece of paper sooo now I am SUPPOSE to take 24 hour release morphine and lortabs for breakthrough pain.... Weeks like this week I actually break down and take my 24 hour stuff but for the most part I try to avoid them too... I HATE taking pills as much as I HATE my weekly B12 shots!!!!!!

I took morphone once-when I hurt my knee actually
I tokd the Dr. the walls were crawling, everyone but me found it funny-awful, I got hot & itchy.

I don't care if they call it a 'side effect' I just say I'm allergic now.

Oh, I'm sorry about your mom not being there for you ever really but at least you have one parent! Yes, slow it down, take your medicine and enjoying the weekend from a supine position would probably be the best thing for you!

Guinness testing? Time for a check-up or is it about the urinating, etc. you posted about in another thread? I sure hope he's not sick with UTI or something.

We got the callback tonight from dropping the urine and they said they found crystals so they wanted us to drop him off first thing in the morning to stay the day for testing :( I am just trying to keep telling myself that it is nothing but to be honest I am rather scared and hate that we have to leave him alone there.

Lol I can not think of the name right now but the one they gave me while I was in the hospital after my major knee surgery which also included removing leg bone had me talking to forest animals that were staying in the room with me :p

Better to be on top of taking care of it.

It's just for the day right? Lots of people in and out-I'd not be happy about it either though.

I went into panic mode so Ryan took over the call since he has been friends with the vet for years so from what I understand Ryan will drop him off around 8 or so for them to pump fluids in him get him to pee at various times and take more blood then we can pick him up around 12:30.

Yikes. They gave me a shot of morphine in the E.R. when I had to go in a while back and the nurse sat with me for about 5 minutes "to get you through it". It hits you so hard it cramps you all over or something at first. Felt like I'd been bodyslammed. She had to give me a shot for the nausea first to keep me from throwing up from the shot she said! Then the morphine. It was awful and then you don't even know what's real and what's not for a good while after that. And for about 30 seconds I was very nauseated anyway. I remember seeing a farm scene on the clock face and it was just a plain old clock hanging on the wall! Very nasty stuff. Later, when I was better, she said it was time for another if I was still hurting and I said "No!" I just wanted to get home and sure didn't want that again. I didn't remember that morphine hurt like that at first from morphine after surgery. Of course, that morphine is in a PCA and you don't get the whole shot at once. Then I got a bad headache later from that shot. Ugh.

Oh, my, was it Dilaudid(spelling?)? I had one shot of that once in the hospital and told them I simply couldn't go through that ever again. I was afraid I wouldn't come back from a second one.

I am so used to it at this point it does not even faze me, I had to train a new team the last time I broke down and took it.

Think it's just a UTI? I mean I think you can have crystals from just a bladder infection - I think I had crystals in urine once with that. I had to have that painful bladder "treatment" where they put medicine in it because it was a bad one but that's probably all he has. That's bad enough but prob. vet just wants to be sure nothing else going on and probably isn't. Does he not drink much water? I think that can cause them, too. Hugs and prayers for Guinness - and his mommie!
