You've given me some great advice and direction to pass on to them. Thanks so much for taking the time. :) I'm really ok with this if this is normal protocal for insurance comanies. However, they are just ready to do what their company says, write out a check to the roofing company, and it all sounds so sketchy. I just want them to follow up and check it out, and if they won't, I will. | No problem at all... Sometimes insurance companies have valid reasons so I can't say they are always in the wrong.. I will give a good example
Older home has the same policy for YEARS but all of a sudden they send a letter stating before they will renew for the new year there needs to be an inspection for the house wiring and all... Well the homeowner just inherited the home has no clue about how insurance works on homes and just thinks I mail the check they cover me also that person tends to ignore mail.. So by the time they figure out what is going on the insurance has lapsed on Friday but they have somebody coming out to inspect the wiring and all on Wednesday... Sadly on Tuesday house catches on fire burns down due to old wiring and has NO insurance on it so they get changed to tear down remaining structure and clear the lot now making them the proud owner of a grass lot of the middle of the hood they have to pay property taxes on yearly. |
