Mini iPad
 
Hi everyone,

I am expecting my mini iPad today. It's on the UPS truck, out for delivery! I'm very excited. Anyone else have the mini? Last weekend I sold my iPad (original) on ebay. I do have the iPad 3, which will be hubby's when mine comes.

I have to admit, I'm a tech junkie! LOL

I am sooo mixed.... I want it then I play with it at the store and decide I don't want it because I like the size of mine then after carrying mine around I decide I want it again lol

I had the one gave it to a family member, we had the 2s sold them and now both have the 3s.
Other than iPods, because we sold them lol, we have pretty much everything the Apple store sells and are now waiting on the TV to be released.

I am torn between an Ipad 3 or Ipad Mini. My uncle had the ipad 3 but returned it and kept his ipad 2 just cause he didn't feel like reloading all his apps and games and such on the new one. The ipad mini would be nice due to size but I already have an iphone so I feel like i'd just be getting a slightly bigger screen...leaning a little towards the ipad 3 because the bigger screen is a little more justified compared to the ipad mini. My boyfriend is getting the ipad 2 or 3 for christmas. Not sure which one his mom got him but I'm gonna play around on his and see if I like it.

I have one and I absolutely Love it!! I bought the 3 in July... Sold it on eVay and got the Mini... I couldn't be Happier with it!!!! ENJOY!!!!

I take it he did not know when you link it all your app's are added but to how you had it set up on the old iPad.

Lol that is the great thing about the cloud, I killed my phone last week and after paying my $45 for a new one I logged into my cloud account and my phone was just the same as it was ringtone and all ;)

Whoa! You only pay $45 for a replacement phone!?

Always always always get the AppleCare plus!!! My husband dropped his iPad off a 2nd story roof nothing happen, I drop mine less than 5 inches to my tile floor and crack the glass... $45 later new iPad 3.... My iPhone went back to the store in a plastic bag with powered glass no back all that broke so you saw the guts $45 later new 4s

Wow! I pay $10 a month for insurance on my phone through a third carrier that Verizon works with. Their replacement cost is $150. Makes more sense just to get AppleCare.

I have a mini. The first one that arrived had issues with Siri -- it rarely worked. I took it into the Apple store and they thought they fixed it by restoring original settings but it acted up again and they gave me a new one.

I like it better than my old iPad just because of the size. A little more convenient. Plus I didn't have 3G on my old one, so this is a nice option to have.

I'm getting one for Christmas! Ok...so it's already here :D (I ordered all the apple christmas stuff on black friday)...but as the kids can't have theirs until then, I'm waiting too.

What sold me on the mini was the size. I want to be able to pop it in my handbag & go...not have to worry about having a big enough bag to put the regular ipad in.

I am still kicking along with my IPad 2 but have decided when the time comes to replace it I am going with the Mini. I have to laugh at myself, 5 years ago i was thrilled to carry my 15.6 laptop with me and now I have decided the IPad 2 is to big - whats next?

Why do you like the mini better than the 3? I have the 3 and am afraid the mini would be too small for old eyes.

Well, I opened my Ipad Mini yesterday and I really like it (which is good cos I ordered it online from Apple without ever seeing one in person).

Personally, I love the size! It fits great in my regular handbag, so I'm more likely to take it places with me. It's comfortable to hold in one hand and is soooo lightweight.

Only issue I can potentially see with it is the size of the print. On just a regular screen, it is slightly harder for me to read than on my kid's regular ipads. I know you can easily zoom in so the type is bigger, but then that means alot more scrolling, both sideways & up/down. Admittedly, I probably need some reading glasses...but I'm just not ready to admit I'm THAT old. Should you be needing reading glasses in your mid 40's? gggrrrr :(

For me, right now, portability & size are winning over screen size/print size....a few more years down the road, I can see that changing.

I am as blind as can be from far away so don't even ask me about glasses :p
But the small portable size is what makes me want one... Granted I carry my iPad everywhere with me so I am used to it too and I also have my iPhone... I just can not decide lol get a mini now OR in March upgrade to the 4 and replace my 3 since it will have the new adapter hmmm choices choices choices

I use my just about mini every day.

You can change the font size in Settings...
But that may just be for emails, messages, etc.

Congrats on your new iPad mini, how are you liking it so far? :D Nothing wrong with being a tech/gadget junkie because I'm just as guilty lol. I'm still trying to get used to windows 8 for microsoft and the mini is somewhere in transit right now. It's a Christmas present with my nickname engraved on the back, so it's definitely for keeps. Can't wait to get my hands on it though!

Seems like Apple is popping out products left and right. The next version of the mini is coming out again at the end of 2013 :eek:

I absolutely love it! It's so light! I'm very glad I took the plunge and ordered it. I passed my iPad 3 on to hubby. I picked his up today and was shocked how heavy it was, LOL.

Always something new coming out to tempt us junkies :) Hope you love yours as much as I do!

i bought my daughter for christmas the mini....she loves it....i have the ipad 3...but seen my daughters i wished i would have the mini...love the size and weight of it...but for now i will haul my ipad 3 around.. :)

It came in about a few weeks ago, I'm now waiting on the cover. I love that it's so light and I can be easily carried it in my handbag.

i got the ipad and i am bringing it back..i just do not like it. i can just use my iphone. im surprised cause i thought i would love it....not so much.

Don't know if my stuff for my IPad 3 will fit it or if I will have to wait for stuff for the new model to come out..... I know it will have the new charger cable like the IPhone 5 so I have extras of that already.
