Am I the only one? Having a hard time getting my Christmas decorations up? I'm really trying, but our weather just changed and got a little colder and now my back is just aching (need back surgery and refusing because I have to focus on Sam right now, so lots of pain meds :(....).... So between that and Sam and Kalisi running off with my decorations , its hard to get a good rhythm going lol. I'm just wondering if anyone else is behind like me :D! |
I am slacking to, I got a tree last Friday and last night finally put lights on it but that is all and we got new outside lights and put up half of them. I figure I will try to get the tree done by end of the weekend and our family pictures taken Saturday night. |
I started out with a bang but have kind of slowed myself!!! I'm waiting until 12-1-12 now I think before I do much more. Just going to relax while I can. Don't push it if you don't feel like it! Stretch out on the couch when you can - rest that back. |

I too started out with a bang, but have slacked off to the point stuff is sitting on the table. Presents need to be wrapped, just can't get motivated. |

Presents? How bout I haven't even started lol... But I was out looking for Sam's power wheel yesterday! But that's as far as I've gotten.... So who 's going to be the elected motivator to get us all going?;):D |
Not this year. Shopping almost done, nothing wrapped yet though! Tree is up and decorated, now that is funny because 90% of my ornaments are hung in the first 2 feet of the tree since my 1 & 3 year old nephews hung them all! :) Soooo cute! Hubby hung the outside lights already too. We are WAY ahead! For the first time in my whole life I think, we are not financially strapped and Im so excited to give gifts this year and enjoy the spirit of the WHOLE season! My mom is coming and my little brother is coming and I want this to be the best Christmas ever for them. Its the first Christmas since my grandmother passed away too. I'm really excited for this season with my nephews, my family, my HUSBAND (first married Christmas too!)!! |

We haven't put up Any decorations yet. :-/ I did however get a cute Christmas picture of Waffles. Lol |
Used to,we watched the Thanksgiving parade and put the decorations up. Not a big task with 6 kids. My boys would climb all over the roof and hang lights outside. Not anymore. Last year was our first year without Santa and this year its just me and DH to put everything up. The teen can help when she is home, which wont be much for the next 2 weeks. |
Just take your ease while you can! Hope the injection helps! I find the key to those is being "good" for the immediate two weeks after the shot. The medication itself can irritate some before it helps the area with some people. So try to take it easy for a good while after the injection, if at all possible. You may feel better but still don't overdo. Hope you feel better. I always found having a puppy threw my back out worse than anything!!! All that bending, stooping, down on the floor playing with them, cleaning up after them, a lot of extra work. Try to mitigate those activities some if you can. |
Ummm Tracy you missed that part of the conversation! You never told me any of that....Lord Sis, I really hope the shots will help you! Decorations....ya...nope, no! Finally got Mark to put up the lights outside..and they aren't finished! The little trees for the walkway aren't up...asked my sweetie to put them up three weeks ago, before the ground froze...*sigh* didn't happen...now the ground is frozen...dunno how those are going to go in now....smh! House is usually fully decorated by now, complete with Christmas music playing, and all gifts bought! Nope not this year...even my son had to say..'um mom, we aren't having Christmas this year?' Ok I'm behind...little brat (he's 23..:)) Can't seem to find the time...tree going up this weekend, not looking forward to it at all...7 1/2 ft tree, with 500 lights! I don't even know how many decorations! It's beautiful when its done, but man its alot of work....I don't have help this year....usually we make a weekend of it, but the kids aren't here this year...both boys away at school and daughter in the city...ah well, off to dig out the house decorations, at least I can get those out....:) |
I'm worse than you. Haha. I haven't started anything. Maybe the spirit will hit me soon! It is just too warm here! I need snow! |
