yes you may ask. It is a very long story but i will try and make it short. His whole story is on his Dogster page in his dairy.
Babybear had a congenital defect in his neck Called Atlantoaxial Instability(AAI for short) He jumped off my lap on July 29,2006 and broke his neck very badly. He stopped breathing and my husband breathed for him all the way to the vets office. At the vets they did all they could and took test and did xrays. Everything showed no breaks but his liver levels were high. So the doc said it was Liver shunts. And he had no broken bones. Wrong.
I kept him alive all weekend long. HE was paralyzed, but I was keeping him comfortable. I took him for a second opinion on Monday(this all happened on a Saturday) to a different hospital. Xrays there(digital) there was a break in his neck C1 and C2 and he was interally decappitated. Surgery would fix this with a 85 to 90% chance of walking again. We took that chance, but he has not been able to walk on his own. I have done his physical therapy, water therapy and massage therapy since is 8 week check up after surgery. I made him a wheelchair, one was donated to him, nothing worked. Until we found Eddie's wheels and they gave us the miracle that we were looking for a cart that worked. That was a little over 6 weeks ago. He is now running in his cart. That is the very short version of Babybear's story. So that picture means a lot to me.

I wanted to let everyone know of the total thus far. i just checked We have 80 votes it says. HMM I wonder if it is lying. There sure is more then 80 votes just right here. And besides we posted on Babybear's dogster page and also on a few other groups. I fink it is fixed. I will check again in the AM if I have a chance if not a new update on tally tomorrow night.

Thank you Okay everyone. I have tried everything. I still can not get Babybear's link for Dogster up on 0ur Signature. I do not know what is wrong. Lauren tried to help but when I bring up my edit signature it does not give me the little globe like it does here to put my link in. Could someone please help me?? I might have to go to admit with this one. I have been trying for over a month to fix this darn thing. It is getting me frustrated. ARG

Babybear got my vote! I sent my Cosmo's picture (Bichon Frise) to a contest, too, and his picture was published in a coffee table book. It trook 13 months to get the published book, but it is nice. Cosmo won some honor, like in the top 10%, but no real prize. That's OK, he's #1 in my book!

I voted. :D He's a gorgeous little bear! His expression is very much "Look Mum! I'm standing all by myself!" Priceless.

When you edit your signature ... I believe I did mine by typing the dogster web address and then hitting the "Enter" key on my keyboard. This may not be right, but I believe that's the way I did mine. ;) Good luck!
