I hate waiting on an answer after a job interview!! It's so stressful waiting and wondering grrr and I know I bombed on one important question that I knew the answer to but for some reason just went completely blank!! 3 day weekend and knowing my luck I will not hear anything next week then I have a 2 1/2 work week that I doubt I will hear anything then either.. Blah!! |
Keeping my fingers crossed! |
Thank you... You have no clue how much it means to me to have somebody that does not even know me standing in my corner :) I know my background speaks for its self and I did GREAT till he asked me what a GFE lol I went completely blank then as soon as I stepped onto the elevator and I just shouted out the answer while everybody stared at me like I was a moron haha |
Well, if you don't get this one - am sure there will be another coming along, though any interviewer worth his salt realizes anyone can have a blankout in an interview. They are super stressul. I always fed my brain with sugar right before I did any of the few interviews I ever did - or before I hit my bosses up for something special I wanted. It was a for sure cure to "the blanks" for some reason for me. A Diet Coke and a candy bar without nuts that would slowly introduce the sugar - no, I always ate a Milky Way or something with no extra protein so the sugar would zoom to my brain. Course after the interview or talk was over, had to go get a steak! If you aren't diabetic, hypoglycemic, or otherwise medically contraindicated, try the sugar cure next time or when you go meet your new boss. Good luck! I know waiting for something very very important can be agonizing. You try to forget it, put it out of your mind, but you can't really. That kind of waiting is No fun! Hope you hear good news soon. |
Firstly, what is GFE? Secondly, I am a firm believer that we end up right where we belong! I hope you get what your wishing for! Good Luck and DON'T FORGET TO UPDATE US!!! |
Lol my combo is Diet Coke and my anxiety medicine, I have really bad anxiety and social anxiety issues so talking about myself while being stared at by two people is not an easy task... Thank goodness I have a resume that speaks for its self and upper management that stands behind me 100% in my work performance and knowledge. Just excited because it would be up to a $15,000 a year pay jump. |
I don't know in her biz but I've always known that to be good faith estimate. |

Good Faith Estimate, it's an estimate of settlement charges and loan terms if you are approved for a mortgage or refi. |
Sending prayers that it works out or you. I believe if it is meant to be it will happen. If its not, then there is another plan for you. Hopefully you will know soon! |

I always found profound fatigue gigged my brain and put it into warp drive. Burning the candle at both ends and not eating much and I could fire off things before people got done closing their mouths. That and some sugar - and yes, or course, the Diet Coke(my standby drug of choice) always did the trick when I had a lot to get done or someone to persuade. It's not a lifestyle choice ;) of course but I found out by accident it worked well at times when I needed big words and lots of ready knowledge to get what I wanted or work really fast. |
good luck |
Lol everybody makes fun of me about my Diet Coke problem.. Do NOT speak to me until you see me have my Diet Coke in the mornings lol But thank you everybody.. I just hate the waiting part blah |
The waiting is a killer, good luck. |
I know what you mean about the wait... I've been interviewing for teaching positions and have had to wait 3 weeks before to find out that I didn't get the job. Very frustrating... I'm sure you did great and you will get it :) Let us know! |
Fingers crossed. . . . I know it is so hard to wait. They say patience is a virtue. . . . . It is not one of mine lol |
Keeping fingers, toes and all paws crossed here for you. |
did you send a personal thank you card in addition to a professional thank you letter, I always sent a store bought thank you card and got it in the mail right after the interview. very few people do that, especially now and it really makes you stand out. perhaps even a little joke on the question if it is appropriate. type out the message on your computer first and then spell check once it is perfect copy it on the card in your best handwriting. I have gotten about 80% of the jobs I have ever interviewed for that I wanted so don't laugh at my "old fashioned" suggestion. |
I sent an email within 10 min's of leaving and a card the next day.... The reason for the email is because I work in secret departments that have no mailing address so you have to send stuff to our main building across town and wait for it to be inner office mailed to the departments which could take a week or two. |

Awe thanks everybody.. Hoping maybe I should get some type of idea tomorrow. |
Good luck! Hope you hear something today!! :) |
Good Luck! Said some prayers for you! |
I hope you hear good news. Paws crossed |
Nothing yet... but I am not shocked because our HR department is super busy with all the hiring we are doing right now. |
well good luck hope you hear a good word soon!! |
Been checking in to hopefully read the good news. Keep your spirits up and I'm feeling very positive on this end. You seem very, very sharp and with it, a detail person - and I would think you'd shine in that company so they should choose you!!! If they don't, they are just dumbos. |
