| Sherry I am not 100% sure on this but...... I think a widget is always running and updating. I think it's like a weather widget that can tell you up to date weather info. Where an app isn't updating continuously. I think it updates once you select it. Again, I am not positive this is the exact difference or not.

| It's just like if you have a little clock on your screen or even a little count down machine telling you when your next favorite book is being released ...that would be a widget.
