Dog Boxes? I was wondering if anybody has ever ordered a "BarkBox" or "Pawalla Box"? I am very interested in these products and would love to hear about others experiences or thoughts. :) |
I had to go and Google it and it looks really cute! I especially love the idea of gifting it to someone else! I'm just not sure about the whole donating proceeds to a "local shelter"...seems kind of vague. |
I like this idea! :) I researched it and there are a lot of great reviews. |
Callie gets a bark box every month and she has loved everything so far. Its funny how I can go to the store and get a treat and she will not like it but any that have come in her barkbox she loves! When her box comes in she can smell its for her I guess and she will cry and hit it until I open it. |

Thanks everyone for the replies :) |
I haveNOT gotten either of these but this thread got me curious. Personally while this seems a novel idea and great for those interested in trying various items...for me &the to me I'd personally not be interested. For a couple reasons: I'm really picky about the toys and treats I give my dogs& with special beeds dogs here I imagine a lot being stuff I wouldb't or couldn't use. The FAQ on both site say they cannot cater to dogs with allergies. I see myself giving away or donating possibly the majority of items. So my question for those who do get this is what kibd of itens (brands) do you get it these? What do you do with the stuff you don't use? |

This month, we got a elephant toy that lasted almost 15 minutes before getting destroyed, some Milk Bone trail mix (I'm not really a Milk Bone fan and Toki wasn't even interested and she eats EVERYTHING), some Elvis dog treats from Bocce's Bakery (love love love!), deodorizing spritz (probably won't use it), and a Moose antler portion (Toki went to town on this!). Last month we got dog bubbles (which I pretty much threw away after using once) and I ended up taking the Spinz chew to work for the community dog to have. And the poop bags that came in the box are...well...poop bags. So they got used but it's not really something I want to see in a BarkBox in terms of new products to try out. Toki really enjoyed the Yumzies treats and went bananas over the toy steak that came in the box though. I will say that it is fun getting something in the mail each month and I have found 3 products in the 2 months we've gotten boxes that I would be willing to pay full price for and that I would repurchase as gifts or just for my own dogs. |

I'm ending up paying $7.50 a box over the next 6 months ~ surely I can get that much enjoyment out of it!!! I plan to use most toys and some treats as Christmas gifts for my Mom's Dachshund, Rudy. Rudy is less picky than my girls :D  :winky: :D |
