Who has an iPad, what model and what do you use for internet access?

As far as the wifi being protected, I couldn't even get to the screen you are mentioning. It got stuck after you choose your location and language. It said pick the wifi and mine was listed but with a lock symbol so it wouldn't let me choose it. On my phone I can choose a locked wifi band but then it gives me an option to put in a password. The ipad did not. I had to manually go in my wifi modem setup menu and turn off the privacy and after finished setting up the ipad (and update the wifi menu on the screen you mentioned) only then could I go back and turn the privacy back on. Weird.

So yours was listed with a lock symbol but you were still able to choose it?

Yes. It would ask me for a password after I chose it. Then I would select join. Weird that yours didn't. Maybe different wifi providers? I really don't know?

I just love my ipad but I also had the iphone so I do not pay extra for wi-fi on my ipad.
It is just so convenient and it is a wonderful device.

My brother had bought an Macbook pro a while ago and he said he was so happy he got the extended warranty bc he had so many problems with his disk drive. We have one lap top here that the disc drive doesn't work either, but we bought it used so nothing we can do about that.

Does it cover damaged or cracked screens?

And why don't you like screen protectors?

What are your fave apps? I just found Alfred who finds you restaurants that he thinks you'd like after you "teach" him. I think this will be great for traveling.

And I'm obsessed with the Spongebob game. LOL
Still haven't tried Angry Birds. Bf played it and said it's totally fun.

Many favorite apps, right now i am addicted to Drawsomething (interactive game you play with your friends). Also love the Kindle app, online banking apps and the app that stores all my loyalty cards.

So I did end up getting the ipad (new one) in black 16g. We don't have a lot of music or books, and the camera on my phone is better quality, so I don't think I'll need all the space. My phone has 16g of space and I've barely used over 1g so I think we'll be fine with the 16. I'm waiting for my Trtl Bot shell case to arrive so right now we are still keeping it in the box.

We had a bit of trouble setting it up bc our wifi at work is password protected. I had to go in and change the privacy setting before I could set up the dang thing, then go back in and change it back to private. Did anyone else have this issue? I assumed everyone has their wifi protected so how did you set it up?

Also it said if no wifi to set up, then use itunes. I tried to select it and it didn't let me. =/

The magnetic cover was invented and sold by Apple first(and still is). I trust it for that reason.

Is there a way to turn off the camera shutter noise? I didn't find it in the menu while I'm in camera mode.

I'm not on my Ipad right now but I assumes you would go to settings and sounds and camera sounds or some such.....I will look when I have a chance. It's been annoying me too haha

Yeah I tried both, couldn't find it. Does your iphone give you the option to turn off the sound?

On my phone I just switch the flip (or flip the switch) to silent.....DUH. THAT'S HOW U DO IT. HAHAHA. There is a switch top right SIDE

Oh is THAT what that is?! I thought it was a "hold" button like on an ipod. So the buttons can't get pushed.
