I was killing myself laughing at "The Misadventures of Yorkietalkjilly and Lizzie".....until I got to the part about your pulse rate and b/p....not a laughing matter! It is easy to forget how serious some of these phobias are to each of us and those vitals were a clear indication you were indeed fearful....I am surprised you even had the courage to try to get it outside...I would have just put a large heavy object on top of that tupperware so I was CERTAIN it was NOT getting out, then ........I would have had to get SOMEONE else to monkey around with it! Your little hero Tibbe took care of that dastardly old Lizzie! Nothing for momma to fear, TIBBE IS HERE!!!!! |
If Lizzie were a snake, I would have had to leave it - might could have managed to get something over it to contain it if it were a garden snake but would not have dared go near it afterward. Would have had to just leave the house until it was gone but the lizard is not that ultimate fear like that of a snake. I did hate to think about it going so long without water/food but not once it came at me. That kind of did it! Scared the willies right out of me. Seemed like I could feel my heart pounding! I don't know why I think they want to get on me but that's what I fear more than anything. Feel just like a fool letting something like that scare me so. Tibbe seems okay - hope he didn't actually catch it! Trying not to think of that. |
Glad you survived the ordeal! I would be the same way. Next time one gets in call Sugarmamma! She likes lizards! :D:p |

I used to want a pet lizard when I was a kid. If I had one now I'd dress it up like Rango. I did keep one for a while. I caught him with my hands and kept him in a little metal box until I let him go after I realized I had to feed it bugs. He was so small, only about 3". The one that I caught in my old room at my dad's house was over 12" long. After the cats ate off his tail he was like 4" LOL. |
No sign of Lizzie today so far! |

Yeeeeek. A visual that is giving me the icky crawlies all over right now! A zillion weeny Lizzie's all running around! I could go into orbit if I ever saw that! As I pass overhead every 24 hours, you'll know it's me from the continual "eeeek-eeeek-eeeek" you'll be able hear from space rather than the usual "beep-beep-beep". Give me a silver dish to hold and I can beam back creepy nature programs for you and the reptile family to watch!!!! |

Just reading through this....I can somewhat relate. Levi likes to "play" with garden snakes. Sometimes he likes to show me what he caught and drop them in my living room. I am quite sure you can hear me shreaking from there. Thank god for my 18 year old son, who will catch it and bring it back outside. |
No. No sign of Lizzie or Godzlizzie! I'm thinking either Tibbe dispatched with it or the little critter died. No sign since I heard all the growling and scrambling around by my little Disney-looking dog that looks as if he belongs on a Hallmark Greeting Card, not killing critters! It's so gross to think he got it but I can't imagine what else could have happened. Vitals done today: BP: 115/73, HR: 61. I'm healthier when Lizzie is gone - if a little queasy thinking about how. |
No more sign of Lizzie. Either Tibbe did the deed that night or Lizzie hid somewhere after running at me and then died. I don't think it could still be living this long without any food or water. That's what I think but does that sound feasible? Think I can relax? |
