That was bigger than mine. The 67s were supposed to come with 287s but the original owners had changed it out to the 68 block and was a 302. I got less than 10 mpg, but that was when gas was less than a $1/gallon.

Going back to the cost of the Audi...I agree, they are overpriced. My 2001 VW Jetta is the same car as the Audi A4 and all of my parts have both emblems on them. Putting the parts in my car costs a third of the price as putting them in the Audi.

I really regret crashing that car. It was so fun to drive. It did break down a lot, so I learned a lot about working on cars when I was a teenager. Nowadays with all the computerized parts it's all different though. I like the simple mechanics, that's why I like working on bikes now!

My 72' Chevy Monte Carlo was a similar color like this:

Dick Cheney's daughter backed into the fender the night before we moved from DC to Chicago. The Cheneys were very nice and paid for the repairs.

My father shares your lament about all of the computerization....being beholden to the mechanics at the dealership.

The old cars are fun to drive and to work on. I can do a lot of the mechanical work on my 65..wouldn't dare touch anything under the hood of my 2005.

I want one of thise all steel 1950s wagons all Hawaiian style, I want a faux restored modified one though.

I need third row seating, the original all leather interior but modern electrics, and not to mention I want an ekectric powered one...

Unfortunately it doesn't exist but if it did I'd get it in chrome teal white interior and of course wall tires to match the retro woodgrain paneling.

I have always loved the design of super boxy SUVs -- like the older (ie, 1990s- early 2000's) Land Rover (love!); in vintage, I love the old International Scout, really old Ford Broncos, and the safari versions of the Land Rover.

My absolute dream car would be the Mercedes G-class SUV - just a total BOX and I love the design of it.

Right now my dream car is the chrome Audi R8 GT Spyder which recently sold at auction for $400,000.00 but you can pick up the one I want for $239,000.00. They are hand made. 560 horses.

I think I have pretty much the dream vehicle now, or as close to it as can be. I really like "heavy", makes me feel safer, but given the trend in sizing, I'd better hang on to what I have, cause they're not getting larger.

My two guys enjoy the nice large cargo area of what I call "The Green Hornet" (it weighs 5300 lbs)

I'm driving my dream car. It's paid for and it's the ONLY one I've seen just like it in the five years that I've owned my little blue Mini Cooper S. I don't have a problem spotting it in a parking lot

I have always loved the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud!!!! I think i will have to settle for having it as my limo for my wedding next year....white of course!!
