My Vet is the one who got me started on wanting to garden, she has a huge number of raised garden in the yard of Vets office. She encourages her patients to walk among the gardens and explore what she is growing. It is not unusual to see her out there with one of the dogs boarding there. Also my Vet is a Bee Keeper and suggested the Basil plant to me. | That's really cool about your vet being such a gardener. I would love it to have someone close by that I could get hints from. I ask at the nurseries but if you can see it in person, that's even better.
My neighbor has watermelon and cataloupe in her beds. The watermelon is a class project from her grandson and the cantaloupe was from a seeds her husband threw in the ground. lol My poor bush beans are in the middle of all the mess and are not getting enough sunlight. I've gotten a bunch but I think they are done. I wish I would have put them on the outside as string beans are my most favorite veggie. My japanese eggplant is suffering from this also but at least it's taller so it's getting some light. lol
I am getting ready to harvest some green peppers and banana peppers. I think they will be ready by the weekend. :):D I just saw my first big tomato turning red today, Yay! I'm so excited, can't wait to take a bite. lol |
