He is pissed because I said I was going to move if he purchased one. I am scared its going to bite me or hurt my baby when it gets older. Plus he sad it is a blue nose pit the mosr pure breed. I cant deal with that. Someone help me tell me if I am wrong or right. |

I feel the exact same way as you. I couldn't put myself and my furbaby in danger like that. I don't trust them and feel like they can snap at any time. I personally don't like the pit bull breed but there are members on this site who have Pit's and a Yorkie so hopefully they will post to your thread and give you their opinion. Is there another breed he would consider? |
he also likes boxers Quote:

Here's another one of those controversial topics. I'll say MY OPINION and then I won't come back to this. I don't know what you can tell your fiance to make him change his mind. I am NOT a fan of pits...AT ALL. I don't care how they are raised, I don't care how good the owners treated them like family, la di da! Pits are not to be trusted! PERIOD! I've heard of loving family pits that have turned on their owners. I sure as shi* wouldn't trust one around my child or around my furbabies. Pits are very unpredictable and they have the lock jaw syndrome and are vicious. Now you'll see people come on here...WELL, THERE WAS A POM THAT ATTACKED A CHILD, THERE WAS A YORKIE THAT ATTACKED A CHILD IN THE NEWS...la di da. How many children and elderly have died from a pom attack or a yorkie attack compared to a pit attack? There are many members here that have pits and absolutely love them. More power to ya! They are beautiful...I just don't want to be around any of them...puppy or adult. |
here is a good begining the temperament test passing average for all breeds http://www.atts.org/statistics.html (BTW, notice that yorkies have a 80% avg when the oh-so-bad-pitbulls have 83% and they had more dogs tested) |
Boxers are great, they are fun loving puppies forever. I also feel its the owners and not the breed that give pits such a bad rep, its truely sad. Another thing you need to look at is your house insurance.... before getting a bully breed as many do not cover you if you have one. |

You can search the site here for pitbulls as we have had many great debates that shows many opinions. It is very informative. All the best. :) |
my grandma had a pit bull that she bought when i was a baby that was 20 years ago, i was raised around the dog and she was always the sweetest thing she took care of me would lay in front of the steps so that i couldnt crawl down them and she was always right by my side when i grew up. she never turned on anyone and she was very gentle. she is no longer around anymore she passed when she was 15 but she NEVER showed any sort of aggression. That is just my story that doesnt mean that every pit bull will be the same way. My brother inlaw has a some kind of bulldog and she is very big and she scares the crap out of me, she hates my hubby and she always growls at him. i just dont care for big dogs to tell you the truth they could shred me up in no time!! |

1 Attachment(s) Any dog can be vichious if that is how it is brought up. My parents have a pitbull and she is the most sweeties goofiest dog I have ever seen. Hailey plays much better with her than she does my sister's 12lbs Min Pin. That is a pic of my parents dog and Hailey together. |
