Documents Show Cops Believed Trayvon Martin Killing Was ‘Ultimately Avoidable’
 
There is a good chance that a jury will decide the same thing and Zimmerman goes to jail.

But if Zimmerman was walking back to his car and then attacked then he was doing what he was told.

Why did he get out of his car when he was specifically asked not to follow the boy? No matter what, this death could have been avoided :thumbdown

He was following him before he was told not to.

Until the day I die, I will say that Zimmerman was wrong for following someone around while carrying a gun. Period. I don't care if he later stopped following him...I don't care if he had a broken nose and cuts on his head, I don't care that Trayvon had a drug in his system. All I care about is that people like Zimmerman are out in the streets following people while armed. Dangerous and quite irresponsible thing to do in my opinion.

I guess we will know more when the trial is over, but I doubt we will ever really know what happened. What I do believe is that a man died for NO good, valid reason. If Zimmerman had simply called the police and DRIVEN away rather than getting out of his car with a gun to follow a man, then no one would have died.

If, If, If. :( Taylor, IF Zimmerman had simply called the police from the get go instead of getting out of his car with a gun to follow Trayvon, then there would not have been an altercation. I just do not, for the life of me, understand how you don't see that.

At 1:55 he is asked "Are you following him?" and he is asked not to do so. He continues to do so despite the man's advice. If he had listened, Trayvon would not be dead.


This is a really sad story and I can't wait to hear what happens in court...

This is exactly how I feel.

Even IF Trayvon did attack him, it could have been avoided if he didn't feel the need to act as a police officer and get out of his car. He could have just made the phone call and let it be, and Trayvon would still be alive :(

Are you kidding me? It is very clear in the tape that he does not immediately follow the direction of the dispatcher. He could have turned around and went back to his vehicle... But he did not.

I don't understand... Can I ask you a question, Taylor? Do you watch Fox News? A child is dead and it could have been prevented. This is just disturbing to me...

I think I'm done before I get myself in trouble :rolleyes:
