| ![]() I have 2 doggie strollers. I do have mine walk but if it take them to places where lots of people will like a parade I like to know they are safe from being stepped on.

| ![]() Do they look ridiculous? YES, Do I have one? HECK YES. I use it when Sophie Kate wants to be somewhere outside and I need my hands free. I get the looks and the "pitiful head shakes", I just ignore it and keep pushing forward. It probably does not help that Sophie Kate likes to sit right up at the edge of the seat and pose like she is a Princess. My stroller was given to me by a neighbor who used it to take her rabbits for walks. I used to laugh at her and her rabbits but now I totally understand.

| ![]() Pet strollers... hhhhmmmmm.... well I don't have one. But there has been a handful of times over the almost 7 years Ive had my dogs that I wish I did have one. Dexter gets nervous around other dogs and in bigger crowds so he refuses to walk on his own and jumps on my legs to be picked up far too often. A few times I had wished I had a stroller, like when we went to a friends cookout and I had my dogs with me. I had to carry Dexter all day. Then we went to the fireworks and I had to carry him and hold him. Also my boyfriends parents live 1 mile from us, so in the summer we take the dogs for a walk and go visit them. Its usually dark or getting dark on the way home and I worry that we are going to get attacked by a coyote but we cannot carry a 13lb dog a mile, hes heavy and he fights it because he wants to walk but I worry too much. A stroller would be nice for that. Just sometimes I have found that I needed a break from holding them and wish I had a safe place to put them where I didn't have to hold them and they could still be near me, like not put them in a car or something. Maybe someday I'll pick one up.

| ![]() I just got one, and wish that I had done it sooner! Of course, the boys get walked, but the stroller is here if and when it is needed. There are times that we want to "get away" and take them with us, and if it is a new place, or too hot for their little feet, then its all good! I don't give a rat's patoot what people say or think. I ALREADY consider myself the crazy dog lady, and all that matters is the comfort and safety of Neo and Connor! |

| ![]() I've had people thank me for being "thoughtful" and not making a little one walk for too long. I've also had stupid, unthoughtful people think it's ridiculous ![]() I think it's savage to expect a little dog to walk as long and far as we can. My legs a huge (and I'm tiny) compare to my babies', I can cover in one stride what takes my babies 3-4 strides. So they tire easier and faster. They have their entire backs exposed to the sun from above and the heat from the bottom (concrete shoots heat/cold right back up, so they get double exposure), I only have my head at full exposure. Not only can they go in the stroller when tired, but also when they're scared by bigger dogs or fast walking crowds. It's just safe for them any way I look at it ![]()

| ![]() Noone would expect a crawling child or a toddler that can walk to do so all day at a faire or park, they land in the stroller. So how could it be wrong for a dog to have the same privilage. Our society is just not used to people caring for our pets and not seeing them as an accessory but rather as a member of the family. |

| ![]() I don`t really don`t care what people think of me, so I am definitely getting a stroller. Can take it to the mall, flea markets, some stores. Anywhere crowded. |

| ![]() I totally agree. Sometimes it is just too hot here for mine to walk very long, but she still wants to be outside.

![]() Lol, but no seriously, I can see the appeal and why they can be very useful - I just won't ever have one (unless he were too sick or old to walk for some reason).

| ![]() This is why I have a stroller. 3 of my dogs are seniors,2 have heart issues,1 has Ct and one of the heart patients has ACL issues. The two younger dogs walk unless we are on hot,Texas summer pavement or really big crowds. |

I'm not saying dogs can't get tired, or burnt paw pads, etc, but they are physically designed to endure a bit more than a human toddler in those terms. But overall, I see the appeal, I get why people do it, it's just not for me. I am not going to judge - I don't see a problem when walking around a festival, or a dog event, etc. I will not lie and say that I was a little flabbergasted when someone walked into the dog park with their dogs decked out in dresses, who just wanted to be picked up the entire time anyways - why even come to a dog park? But if that's their thing, that's their thing.
