Yikes!!! Took A Citizenship Test - Embarrassed!!! Having been born and raised in Dallas, Texas USA, one would think I might score 100% on a U. S. Citizenship Test. Wrong!!! I took one today online today I linked to from an online article and missed 4 :( out of the 96!!! Scored only 96%. Sad and embarrassing. But I didn't cheat once - proud of that at least. Anyone else taken one and what was your score?:flag42: |
Where can I find the online test? I have a couple of friends who took citizenship tests to become citizens they said it's not as easy as it sounds. |
I was reading an article about Ozzie Guillen that linked to a Christian Science Monitor website U. S. Citizenship test. I had never taken one before - thinking why - I live here and know my civics, geography, history, etc. - why take a test - anybody would score 100%. Not! It is a slow website and has 96 questions. Maybe if you Google U. S. Citizenship Test and CSM you will see a link. I will see if I can page back and find it again and post link here. For some reason my Internet History is no longer listing websites as it used to so I can't use that. |

Ok taking it now wish me luck! |
Good luck!!! Boy, there were one or two questions I wanted to cheat on so bad! |
LOL I am an American History nut so I better not fail;) |
And better know your civics. |
I have missed 1 so far and I am on 30 and it was about the amendments. Some are tricky! |
I'm no good at history..... my score is going to be an embarrassment!! but I wanna try anyway lol |
In all honestly, I didn't even think I would get the first 4 right... I'm 4/4. I'm quitting while i'm ahead :D |

Lol I am Canadian it is taking for-ever to take that test . I am at 28 out of 30 Hubby is 29 out of 30. It takes soooooo long to do. Hubby is an American. |
I scored 95 out of 96. :cheer: I blame my father's funny sidebars while I was reading the questions & answers aloud for making me miss the one question -- this is embarrassing -- the question about rights in the Declaration of Independence, lol. Should have been life and the pursuit of happiness. I think I chose freedom and justice. :p I had a couple of close calls on other questions. Whew, that took awhile to complete. |
It is such a slow website and that nag sceen at bottom kept jumping up and I would have to clear it before could click "next". So slow. Took me an hour! |
Yeah, I missed that one too but was trying to get finished and overthought. My first thought was the correct one of course. |

Thank you for the link. That was fun. The CSM should have put more questions on each page to make it go faster. |
95 of 96! I missed that last time I read this - wow! You aced it as far as I'm concerned! I didn't remember a thing about the Federalist papers, missed the Constitution date, number of amendment and the pursuit of happiness - knew that one of course and just "misremembered" the other two! Ha! But I was so embarrassed not to score 100%. |

I was a history major and Madison's (one of the writer's of the Federalist Papers) home, Montpelier, is 30 miles down the road from me. |

I also just got 95/96 correct! And history was my least favorite subject...I don't even know how I did it! |
Another ace!!! Congratulations! |

That is why tests like that are fun. They clear the cobwebs. I knew Russian history backward and forward, but I haven't thought about it deeply in a few years, so I have trouble jogging my memory. If I sat down and skimmed a book on it, I'm sure it would all come back. |
