What a fun thread!

For those of you that don't know me...my name is Nichole. I am 28 years old and am the mommy to Teddy boy & Piper girl! I am getting married in September to the love of my life and am so excited!!

Hi, I am Donna I am 56 I think, LOL at my age what's a year or two, hard to believe but my 40th HS reunion is next year:eek: I was very surprised to see how many people are in their 20's are on here, from the maturity in their posts I would have figured them much older.

I have been married for 22 years we never had kids so tend to spend the little free time we have on stuff like snow skiing and boating. We live on a small lake and have a ski boat but I guess our passion is our offshore style boat and we like to do organized boat runs and the dog or dogs always come along. I also spend a lot of time with Lola, gardening and planning parties, often for charity, while my husband spends his time in the garage working on motors:D It's a perfect marriage:D I also have been in a mentor program for the last two years, my mentee is Hope she is now 11. I am lucky I work but get to do if from home, I have been selling industrial filters for 15 years.

Attached is a picture of one of our boat crews on an organized run, with my previous yorkie, Kirby. The next picture is of Hope and I at one of her school Halloween parties (LOL I was the only adult in costume, I did not get the memo!) The last one is Lola and I from a few weeks ago.

This is a good thread, and I am enjoying it. One of the reasons the responses might be lower than expected is because of the section it was started in. I can only speak for myself but I rarely look in this off topic area. I will say that I was surprised to see all the beautiful girls. But the one photo that surprised me the most was Nancy, LOL Nancy I pictured you as this sage, wise OLD frumpy woman, full of caring good advice, now you are full of caring good advice, but dang woman you are a beautiful glamour pus.

Lol, I’m the brunette in the picture! :D Frumpy? Haven’t you ever read my “sage” advice on fashion threads? (Your shoes and purse MUST match and don’t forget the white gloves?)

All I can say is some of the fifty year olds here are incredible, and I wish I had seen their pictures when I was younger, what wonderful role models!

:pNo but LOL we must be from the same generation. I still change my purse to match my shoes and long for white gloves to come back in style, because they would hide my brown spots:D I knew you were the brunett, silly

Oh long white gloves are beautiful, I love long black gloves too, but they don't look good with a long sleeved dress, and that's the only type I'll wear! :D Anyways, thanks so much for the compliments!

What you may not know about me is: I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator, and although I don't have children, I have helped raise/care for hundreds of infants and toddlers. (I've been doing it for a long long time ;)) when not working directly with the children, I teach ECE courses to aspiring educators.

What I'm known for: Researching before I make decisions/purchases & telling it how I see it (regardless of the consequences).

Well I'm Kendra, and I'm 23.

What you don't know about me... I did some pretty random things in highschool, which are always great conversation starters. I went to Toronto in Canadian Idol in 2007, won Bronze in the Canada Wide Science Fair, and was all the while running a successful horse riding company at the age of 14... :D haha anyone thinking over achiever much :p. I learned a valuable lesson in highschool, that this was WAY too much. After burning out at 19 I've learned the key to life is doing what you enjoy and to stop pleasing anyone other than yourself. Now my proudest moment is the fact that I got into law school cause it was something I wanted to do, not what others wanted me to do.

What I'm known for.... definitely being Monica from Friends... I am a compulsive planner and organizer, I love labels, and stickers and organizing things.

My closest friends still mock me for making them suddenly pull over to grab some recycling off the country road we on someone tossed out on the dug out. :cool:
I'm a lil germ-a-phobic, but I'll pull recycling out the trash (if it's on top of course and not like covered in stuff gross)and I'll put it in a recycling container. I'll take recycling and toss it in a bag in my car if there isn't facilities available-yep I have a bag always in my truck specifically for recycling. I just can't let something that can be recycled be tossed in the trash if possibly avoided,:D

Hello everyone, so very glad that you decided to share a part of your lives with us ! Mine seems so miner compared to everyone else's so I figure since I started this I should go full on with it and share more with you.

dawn27 / Dawn: Well I'm a 47 yr old homemaker, wife and mother of two. I've been, married to my DH for almost 21yrs together for 26. I am a homebody but love to get out of the house with friends every chance I get. I have four tattoos and cant wait to get another.

What you dont' know is: That I'm very organised to the point of being OCD. I can not stand it when I walk into a store or bar or someone home and see something out of place, crooked or that I thing would look better a different way. To the point that I have dreams about how I would chang the way it looks. On the other hand, even thou I cant stand to see things out of place or my home in shambles, I'm sort of lazy when is comes to house cleaning. But only because I prefer that my children clean up after themselves so that they are not dependent on others. The DH and the kids don't quite see it that way. It's a big change considering I use to be a bit of a perfectionist ! :rolleyes:

One thing that I am know for is: Being a major smart ass! Some people consider it to be bitchy or rude. I tell it how it is, I dont sugar coat anything. One thing that I will never be acussed of is being Fake!
