Care to Share: Putting a Face to the Name of our YT community.
 

Well it's been almost 14 months since I joined Yorkie Talk ...Yea ! I am so glad that I did, I have found so many wonderful people here who share in my passion for Yorkies.

I must say there is never a dull moment here on YT. I have gotten some great advise when asked and have also gotten some that I didn't ask for. There are days when I learn something new each day and other times when I laugh so hard I cry. Than there are those day when I cry while reading about a hardship of another fellow member. There have been times when I have been frustrated and angry, but I understand that comes with the territory. . There is no doubt that passions run high here on YT and that I have seen the good, the bad, the sad and the ugly all rolled up into on tight knit community. I must say, that Yorkie Talk has become part of my every day life or should I say my "Addiction" and lets face it you are all stuck with me now ... !

Which brings me to the topic of this thread... Do you ever wonder:

Who is this person ?
What do they look like?
What would I like to know about this person?

As I'm sure some of you do as well. I have gotten to know a few of your names but only by reading other comments. Plus, it would be nice to put a face to the name and to know a little bit more about each of you other than what is on your profile.

Some of your names are included in your signature but, I don't feel comfortable addressing anyone by there name unless properly introduced first.

So, I am taking this opportunity to properly introduce myself, post a photo and share with you one or more things about me that are not on my profile page. You are welcome to do the same. This is an opportunity for the community of Yorkie Talk to be properly introduced and meet one another and to share something new about yourself.

Share as little or as much as you would like. Feel free to ask questions but keep in mind the person may or may not like to share curtain information.

What you don't know is: That I am 5.3" and my daughter is 6.4' she calls me a "meatball" and I'm totally fine with it.

One thing I am know for is: Being called Winny! It is a nick name that I have has since I was a baby.

My name is Michelle and I am mom to two grown skinboys 30 and 27. I have been married for 32 years. We love riding our Harley when we get the chance. Our oldest son is married and we have one 8 year old granddaughter Kerra. I love sewing and crafting and spoiling my two furbabies.

Hi my name is Melanie and my birthday is in July hence the username rubymoon...birthstone and my moods are ruled by the moon.

what you dont know about me is that since last august my husband has been out of work and had a third back surgery which was not successful. it has been the hardest time for us as he is adjusting to now being a stay at home dh on disabilty. for a man who has always provided for his family this is not an easy task.

i am known for being creative ..SHOES...CLOTHES AND FASHION. I never met a pair of high heels i didnt have to own! lol :D

Hi! :) I'm Carmen! I'm only 20, but I love being a mama more than anything! I want 6 kids!! I was in a national award winning show choir in high school, took jazz and lyrical dance, I've been in musicals every year of my life since I was eight, I play piano, and I went to college to become an elementary school music teacher. In November I moved across the country after dating my boyfriend 2 years, long distance. We've been together 4 years :) I've always been a cat person! Yorkies are the only doggies I like! My fave shows are Say Yes to the Dress and Cupcake Wars! I love to bake and I secretly want to open a doggy boutique, call it "Barkery" and make doggy cakes and treats :rolleyes: I love babies and weddings and pink!!! In my lifetime I've wanted to be a vet, a pediatric nurse, a music teacher, a baker, and wedding planner! A girl can dream :) ;)

Oh, and in real life I often squeal and/or meow when I'm excited. My boyfriend hates it. I just get soooo happy :)

I'm Sarah :) I'm a 22 year old (poor) grad student! I spend my time doing research and teaching microbiology! But my real interest is winning the lotto :rolleyes: I'm known for having an addictive personality (some of the things I'm addicted to are: yorkies, yorkietalk, TV, and snuggling!!) If I love something, I go all out and stop at nothing! OH and I've been with my wonderful boyfriend for 4 years.

What you may or may not know about me is compared to many of you my life is pretty boring. I'm pretty content being a home body. But I am going to turn it up a bit and start torunament fishing with my DH. Our first one is coming up soon.
I am known for being crafty, experimenting with photography and loving on the horses and definitely a crazy dog lady.

Well, Hello everyone so glad to meet you all !

Thank you for sharing your photo's and stories about you and your families. So, many happy and smiling faces. Thank you for the formal introductions and for sharing a part of your life with all of YT.

From what I can see I share simular hobbies with a few of you like my love of animals, crafting, singing, riding motorcycles and horses.

I really wasn't to sure how this would turn out but I am very please so far. I hope that others will share as well !

I think I have an awesome sense of humor:D:D. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 21 years and have 4 amazing kids...one of whom is deployed right now. I also have one amazing lil yorkie who is just like me.....hehehehehehe

My name is Rhonda and entered the wonderful world of 40's this last year. I am a mother and a wife. And I have been known for having a little bit of a spunky attitude (that is because I have a lot of Cherokee Indian in my blood, even though I don't look like it ha ha). :rolleyes::rolleyes: I teach (and even with the stress love it!) 8th grade MATH, yes the hated subject of math. I am totally overprotective of my kids and my Yorkies. :eek::eek: No one can take as good care of them as I do. :D I love a good challenge and one of my favorites is technology. I have a masters in Educ Tech and think it is so much fun to "create" new things. I hate having my picture taken. So all I have is school pictures. And last but not least, after getting a sewing machine I have found out I can't sew a straight stitch to save my life. :eek::eek:
