Watched it for the first time last time (I avoided clicking on this thread!) but OMG... wow. Great episode. It will help curb my Breaking Bad withdrawl.

I am not squeamish by any means but when they cutting off Hershel's leg I was like AHHH, had to half way cover my eyes! Ouch!

Rick is kind of annoying to me now. I know he's got to take over and be the leader and all that, but you don't have to be a douche, you can still be a nice guy.

I love what they've done with Carl's character now. Lori needs to die. (lol). I love the intro of the new character too. Overall, yay, I'm pumped for this season!

I wonder why they started the season 8/9 months after? I found that kinda odd... I hear them talking about "Winter" I'm sure that would have been interesting to see them go through that.

I like Rick, I mean he is kinda a douche, but some of those people are kinda jerks- He is the one that got them this far and all he is trying to do is get them further- I guess the douche would come out in anyone if people wanted to over ride you all the time.

I think Rick and Lori just need to go bang it out and move on... She has to stop being so dramatic, I also think the nicer she was to him the less of a douche she would be! He needs the support of his wife!!

Rick was a super nice guy the first few seasons. I'm glad he's has become the commanding officer (douche), there were too many leaders before and not enough followers. I think he's mad at Lori because she encouraged Shane while encouraging Rick. I think she caused the standoff that led to Shane's death, and then she blames Rick for it. Shane use to be Ricks best friend, and I think he's having a hard time getting over it. For a zombie movie, this has a good story line with excellent actors.

I agree- I think out of that bunch Rick is the only one that could have got them that far. I totally agree with you. I’m sure that is something really hard to deal with.. on top of that stand off- Lori should have never slept with Shane, little hussy…. I almost feel bad for Shane, I do believe Shane is dead because of Lori-

Lol, I don't blame her for sleeping with Shane, not at all. At the time, she thought Rick was dead, what I blame her for is her teasing attitude. She tells Shane, there's no hope, he starts to adjust to that, and then she says something to lead him on and he starts hating Rick. Yes, I'm sure Shane would have easily killed Rick; he was in the mode of “survival of the fittest”.

By the way, in last weeks episode, it was good to see Carol being a little bit of a hussy with Dayrl. I never thought of her that way before.

Since you watch the series this past weekend, you probably remember more of Carol then I do. I remember her as an abused wife, helpless, sad all the time, (with reason, her daughter died), so seeing this new side of her was refreshing.

Ya, I am glad that she was able to get out of that... her husband was a serious douche!! I was glad to see when that guy ( cant remember who) Beat the crap outta him..

It is nice to see her becoming her own. Maybe Daryl will break her off... I think he has some hidden issues...Hopefully he is able to get over those and be happy with himself, and who knows what will happen when his brother comes back!!

Yeah, I think Daryl was abused and seemed to feel kind of worthless in the beginning. His brother bullied him that's for sure. His brother was bad before, I can't imagine how enraged he'll be after he had to cut off his own hand.

Yeah I agree- I feel bad for him. Hopefully if and when he sees his brother he doesn't let his brother drag him down!

Wait- his brother is still alive?? LOL, totally missed that one.

I do love the bit of banter between Carol & Daryl... "Wanna mess around?" but then she laughed at his WTF face! Norman Reedus (who plays Daryl) says they will never get together though, not gonna happen. I almost feel like it's kind of more of a brother/sister type relationship kind of. Or just close friends, or something.

Oh totally forgot, how about that ending... with the live prisoners at the end? Pretty excited to watch!
