| Does anyone Juice? Hi there!! The best boyfriend got me a juicer for my bday and we've been obsessively juicing fruits and veggies. I LOVE it! But i'm running out of delicious recipes. Anyone have a favorite juice recipe to share? I love tasty green juices (so healthy!!) Also, has anyone used their juicer for weight loss? Which recipes are best for that? I don't need to lose weight, but it would be nice to supplement a meal a week when I splurge on junk food... (that one week a month is always tough... haha)

| Juice Weightloss Recipes You can be creative with the following: Carrot: This delicious juice will help add sweetness but still let you benefit from the incredible benefits of this amazing vegetable such as digestion stimulant, liver cleanser, and high levels of beta-carotene. Cucumber: a base of choice for most recipes since they are water dense and relatively low calorie. Celery: Is often reccomended in weight-loss programs as it is low calorie and water dense. Juice the entire celery stick including the chlorophyll rich green leaves. Lettuce: dark-green lettuce types are nutrient dense and darker the lettuce the more alkalizing and mineral rich. Cabbage: Powerful body-cleansing vegetable recommend often for weight loss. I'm sure you've heard of the "cabbage diet" Beetroot: This is great vegetable that will add sweetness to your juice. Use sparingly. Spinach: Rich in chlorophyll and minerals such as calcium, spinach is alkalizing and has numerous weight loss benefits. Tomato: Helps reduce acid in body, and is beneficial for stimulating blood circulation, liver cleansing and blood purifying. Watercress: Considered a powerful intestinal cleanser and toxin neutralizer and is good for the kidneys, bladder, blood circulation, cleansing the skin and said to stimulate fat burning. Apple: This low glycemic fruit is known for a wide range of health benefits including supporting healthy blood-sugar levels. Citrus Fruits: Grapefruits and Lemons in particular have gotten a lot of attention for it's role in weight loss support.

| Hope those help! One of my personal favorites is: pink grapefruit, apple, cucumber, celery and a little bit of squeezed lemon. You can also add a little beetroot to it to sweeten it up.

| If a commercial comes on and it has anything to do with weight loss - my mom is on it. She got a juicer and juiced for about 2 weeks. She ended up loosing 4 lbs but she said the diarrhea wasn't worth it. She hasn't used it since.

| I once had a roommate whose boyfriend got her a juicer. I would come home from work and she'd have 'made dinner' which was some sort of veggie juice and then dessert which was some sort of fruit juice. I was ALWAYS starving!!! LOL

| Yes, some people do try a juice cleanse or use it as a meal substitute. I don't haha. We drink juice either before or after dinner. It fills you up and helps you get some vitamins in your body. :-) Great recipes! Thanks :-)

Just be careful juicing with meals. Most juice recipes have a decent amount of calories which if why they are often used as a meal replacement and if eaten before or after a meal it can potentially cause weight gain.

| We've been looking at this Breville juicer. We buy the Naked juice bottles and they are expensive! It tells you on the side of the bottle what's in it! LOL I can make that! But I haven't been able to find the juicer I want in store. That being said, juice made with *just* fruits and veggies and not a smoothie or protein shake will not make you gain weight in addition to regular food. It's when you have a "juice" like from jamba juice or something with food, those drinks can top about 800 calories!
