I don't get too excited about makeup...but since hitting 40, I think I developed under eye circles - mine are kind of bluish/purplish, which is so attractive and awesome.

Anyway, I've tried them all. The cultish ones like Touche Eclat and cheaper ones. I've tried about 20 of them, I suppose, probably more. Some don't end up covering at all, and some just look cakey or they drag on my skin when applying.

Anyway, I heard of this one via a makeup blogger - and I totally LOVE it! I don't use it every day...just when I want to actually look....well, alive. I put it under my eyes and on my lids.

I just had to share, bc this beats allllll the $$$$$ versions I've tried. I got it in Light/Pale, but it comes in other shades. It was $7 or $8 when I picked it up at The Tarjay.

Thank you for sharing...I will definitely try this. I have to use concealer daily, thanks to hereditary dark cirlces.:thumbdown I hate when concealer looks great when you put it on and 2 hours later you have creases, lines, and cakes....:confused:

Thanks! I'll give it a try - I've tried the $$$ and they are so not working. Bags and bruising - I has it. Adding to shopping list!!

Oh Ann...you crack me up! Thinking we should start a trend to accept under eye circles as a thing of beauty....that *certain something* that sets us aside from the rest. Kind of like Madonna's space between her teeth:D

I've tried many of the concealers too, including the Touche Eclat (expensive French name is what you're paying for, I think). Currently I'm using a Mally product and...eh...it's better than most I've tried.

For years I used Maybeline (big fat pink) mascara and could find nothing to compare....it did the job without clumping and was inexpensive. I'll have to give your concealer a try.....even if it doesn't work for me, I know I won't have to borrow money to buy it, unlike the Touche Eclat:p

Thanks Ann. I've never used concealer before but am excited that my first attempt will be the right one. Thanks for doing all that extra work for me :queen3:

Thanks for the tip. I have the type of undereye circles that come from how your face is shaped or whatever. I don't totally understand it, but I had big bags under my eyes when I was 12 and well really well-rested, so you can imagine what they are like now. :eek: Thanks for the rec! I will definitely have to try it.

Thanks! Just put it on my list for tonight's Wally World run. If they don't carry it, I'll check out Tarjay tomorrow. I have serious blue/purple circles underneath with also a darker reddish eyelid color. I use a concealer on top too but since it gets covered with shadow, it's not such an issue to find the perfect one. Under the eyes though is a different story. I've tried them all. Currently using CoverGirl #705. Those that don't have these hereditary circles just can't possibly understand the frustration.

Just went and clicked your link. I'm not sure I'm going to be completely pleased with this one because it's liquid. I've always found that the sticks have fuller coverage. But I think I'm going to give it a shot anyway.

Thanks for the 411 Ann! I swear, under my eyes is where I show my age. I also tried everything and found it odd looking. As soon as I get rid of the URI I have had for two weeks now (2 antibiotics - ugh), it is on my list to try. If you found something to get rid of this "constantly tired" look, I will owe you! :)

Forgot to add, I also had problems w skin texture under my eyes. Now I did find something finally that helped w that. I use Skinsceuticals Phloretin CF. It is pricey, but a little bit will do you. The bottle lasts me almost a whole year. Now if I can only get some coverup for the bluish discoloring - yay!!

Thks - I used it too and it works wonders. But it works even better is you use the ''primer'' before hand. it makes it that much more efficient.

The tip of the bottle/container is a rounded spongy type thing - so it's not really a liquid. Def not a stick. You click the bottle to get product up into the little spongy thing, and then you dab it around your eyes - while also smoothing into place w/ that same tip. I actually love the application. It might not be right for you though. Sticks tend to drag across my skin, and the tube-types tend to cake, but this is more like the Touche Eclat consistency but at a fraction of the price and it covers wayyyy better than Touche.

Yay! Don't you love it when you find something that works? I don't use concelear right now, but will remember that if I ever decide to start using it. :)

When I was in Michigan I was dividing my time between my brother's house and my mom's house. My makeup was NEVER where I was :rolleyes:

My Mom uses this product but she doesn't use foundation ~ I used the concealer as FOUNDATION!!! I love this concealer too :D

Oh I am so going to try this. I have really thin skin around my eyes, plus I am extremely nearsighted so my actual eyeball is to oval it bulges out my eyes and casts a shadow. While I know nothing will ever make the shadow go away, I would like to at least lighten up the area. I have tried so many, even had a sit down with a make up artist at Sephora, and I still find that concealer draws more attention to the area than it does to hide it. So I feel I look better not trying to hide it, but if this works I will be so happy.

I did also find an eyeliner that's really pretty waterproof. Revlon colorstay gel liner. You don't get as sharp a line as liquid, but the final look is still pretty good. Very easy to apply too, and no racoon eyes. Esp as an Asian with a mild case of monolid, this this great news. :D

Painfully true. I thought I was doing so well at 38, 39, and even 40. The following year, everything started going downhill. :(:p:D

I have terrible eyesight and usually wear glasses instead of contacts. My eyes are slowly sinking, grrr. I'm going to try this concealer too.

I have never been able to apply any eyeliner correctly, lol, and I blame my Norwegian eyelids.

Norwegian eyelids! :sidesplt: I HAVE to wear eyeliner, bc again, being asian :rolleyes: we have no eyelashes either! So mascara doesn't really work, and lashes don't lend any color. I once spent $100 on eyelash extensions and no one noticed, bc even though I had fake ones in, it just looked like a non asian person with no mascara. :mad:

I bet you my eye sight is worse than yours. :p My glasses look so ridiculous. My pair cost me $400 bc the lenses were so expensive.

I feel your pain - Irish and I'm like a hairless cat! (sorry, TMI) I have no eyelashes but little stubs that you can't see. I have to wear eyeliner bc of it. Thanks for the 411 about the extensions. I've thought about it.

Don't laugh at my Norwegian lids. ;) They are often compared to American Indian eyes, which are sort of like Asian eyes. My mother was from South Dakota and I often pull people's legs telling them I am part Sioux.


I will have to get out my lens prescription and compare with you. Mine is pretty bad -- bifocals too.

Me too! 40 was a pretty great year. And then? 41 came. Nobody told me about it. Nobody told how one day you're 40 and things are pretty good and then you turn 41 and it is NO LONGER pretty good. What the?

Sorry Ann, I was going to tell you when you reached 50, 51 sucks! The good news is a little dark circle under your eyes won't bother you! When you highlight the circles the bags really show up.
