iPad!!! I love it and all though its my 6 yr. olds toy. I'm always on it when she's in school. :D. Flash would be nice though. |
I love my iPad :) My bf has a Kindle Fire, and it's good for the price, but he still grabs my iPad when I'm not on it. It's much faster and the screen is bigger. |
I bought the Ipad 2 for my daughter for x-mas, and she loves it!!! She is in college so she doesn't have to lug her lap top around anymore. |
I never really wanted one but my uncle got me, my mom, and my grandma each one for Christmas and I love it! There are so many fun apps and games I just really love it. I find that I spend more time on the iPad then my laptop. My grandma is absolutely in heaven with it because she doesn't have to go to her desktop to play games or look something up! Love it! |
Love my iPad. I got it shortly after it first came out. I always choose it over my Mac pro except if I need the flash player. That is the only downside that I have found. |
My dh gave me one for my birthday. I just love it! I have a iPhone..and and now I think my nect lap top will be Mac! I am on my iPad2 now. I got an iPad for dh so he wouldn't borrow mine all the time, but he made me take it back. He wants to wait for the ipad3! lol |
I have an iPad2 and I love it so much, I want to marry it. I love to read, and I just cannot get over the fabulousness of finding out about a book, and having it available in less than a minute. I love all the highlighting and notes too. Of course, that's not a particularly rare feature, but have I mentioned how much I LOOOOOOOVE it? It's also really handy for lightweight work. I no longer have to drag my laptop everywhere. I have terrible handwriting, and being able to type notes anywhere I go makes a big difference. Personally, I would not worry about Flash. I believe that technology is on its last legs simply because iDevices have such ridiculous market share. So to the iPad, YES! For me, the big questions were provider, storage and data. I got Verizon with the maximum storage and maximum data plan, and it's painfully obvious to me that I could have gotten the minimum storage with the minimum plan (at least I can switch the plan). So I would recommend Verizon; realistically consider your storage needs and then go up one size just to be careful; and pick the minimum data plan unless you are really sure you use more than that. You can always move your plan up if you find that you are streaming a lot of data. |
I don't own one but I LOVE the iPad. My dad is always on his, as is my grandma who is NOT very computer savvy. The only annoying thing with Apple is still the lack of Flash capability. But I don't find it to be a huge problem as most sites don't seem to use flash anymore. I'm a total Apple geek though - I have my Macbook Pro, my iPod, my iPhone, LOL... I will NEVER go back to anything else! I just find all their products so user friendly, easy to use, etc. For for an iPad!!! You won't regret it! My aunt got the Blackberry pad and it was neat but I still did not find it as easy as the iPad. I also have messed around with the Android -something-or-the-other and did not like it either. |
If I could put quickbooks on my iPad, I would never even touch the computer. I like that I can print from my iPad, and use it for anything I use the computer for (except quickbooks). Hubby decided he wanted one after using mine, and uses his for out of town work. He even downloaded an app where he can sign paperwork on his iPad, and send it back so that he doesnt even need a printer, and business can continue with no interruptions. We are definitely and iPad family. I had the iPad1, upgraded to the iPad2, and hubby got an iPad2. Soon after my daughter decided she wanted one as well, so alll told we have 3 iPad2's and an iPad1. We were even able to put our data plans on our cell phone bill, and not have to have 3 separate charges for our data (daughter pays for her own) and if we go over on data, it's cheaper to get additional this way. |

How do you print from your iPad? Did you have to buy an Airprint enabled printer? I have a wireless printer and an IPad2, they are both connected to the same Wifi, yet I can't get it to print w/o buying some 3rd party sub-par app. How are you doing it? Thanks! I have a 64GB iPad2 ... I was going to get the 32GB, but due to needing to get it the night I went out to get it... they were out of 32GB, so I bought the 64GB. Both my fiance and I use them all the time. I almost always use it on Wifi though because the wireless in my house has a crappy connection with it for some reason. I have the $20 a month data plan.... some months it's fine, others not so much. I think once we get a newer wireless router I may have better luck with the wireless connection and use less Wifi connection so the lowest plan will be more than enough. Right now though, I am running out about 10days before it's due to renew. Luckily you can renew it early by option. |
iPAD 3 is due out soon! |
My Samsung Galaxy can wirelessly print, play flash, do quickbooks (free) and quickoffice (which has been app of the day on amazon many times, free), runs kindle and much more. Front camera, HDMI output so you can hook it to your TV for movies and stuff. SD card for extra storage (mines got a 32 gig card in it) However, I work in IT and a lot of people here love their ipads and a lot love their Androids. My thing was justifying costs. (plus I like HDMI port and SD card slot for as much storage as you want without paying for a more expensive device cause it has more memory) Good luck and let us know what you get! |
