Woogie Man | 11-27-2011 08:57 PM | Thanks, everyone...I have to agree.....Buck is a good looking boy.
The Yorkies are still in the 'checking him out' phase. Buck has his own room for now and they only see him when I take him out for his breaks. They are feisty towards him at a distance, but have the good sense to be cautiously curious up close. They all have a while to get to used to him as I'll keep him confined while he heals. He has another surgery coming up so they should be well used to him by the time he's really back on his feet. Quote:

Jim, he looks terrific, and just wait until he is all healed the hair is back as well as a weight gain. He will be your best friend. you and I have scars larger than that and we are ok! | Steve, we're already best buds and that should only get better. I can tell he's not 'trained' but he does listen well. And no messes in the house!!
His next surgery should be in a couple of weeks. The doc doesn't want to wait for a full healing on the break....just long enough for him to carry some weight on that leg. He ought to be a sight then. I'll see if they can shave him down so both sides match. Then he'll have matching scars and a WILD Mohawk!! :D
Buck's a very solid dog...all muscle. You can see it in one of the pics I posted...the one with the view of the chest/shoulder area. For his size, he's very heavy already but could use another 15-20 pounds to be ideal. I'm gonna try and keep him at least a little skinny until he's healed.
I'm a nut for my Yorkies, but I have missed having a big dog. It's been 5 years and I didn't realize how much I've missed that until Buck came along. |
