My son and all of his football teammates at college did this last year Not sure if they are doing it this year or not. My boys are all very unhairy so it does not make as big a statement on them. My youngest, the one at college now, is blond and with little facial hair anyway, it does not show up until around the end of the month. It always bothers them not having a lot of hair but I try telling them, they are just highly evolved!

Some of the guys look pretty raggedy by the end of November! I had no idea the girls were doing it too! Not for me! I am old now and do not have to shave as often -- poor circulation I guess. But I could never go a month!!!

The guys were also superstitious about cutting their hair. They said they were not cutting their hair until the end of football season. Last game I went up for, my son told me he did not think he could make it another 2 weeks without a haircut. He felt shaggy and he still had shorter hair than some did when they started the season! LOL! I will see him tomorrow for the last game of the season so I'll see if he made it without cutting his hair and if he is doing the no shave November again.

reminds me of the hockey players not shaving during the play offs :thumbup::thumbup:

My question was answered after the game Saturday. Drove up to see them play in Birmingham, AL -- what a scruffy looking bunch of hooligans! Wooly-Bully! My son was one of the best-groomed-looking amongst them and that is only because, as I mentioned before, he cannot grown much facial hair. He did have the prettiest strawberry blond minature goatee curled up on his chin but that was about it. He told me he can't wait to get his hair cut now that their football season was over. Some of his friends said they are going to wait for No-Shave November to be over before cutting their hair so it all sort of matches. Made sense in a hairy way! All of us parents had a great laugh about our unkempt boys! All attending a fairly high-priced private college but looking for all the world, like some railroad hobos. They seemed to like the humorous attention so, no harm, no foul/fowl (hehehe). I don't know, there could be a fowl living in some of those scruffy beards and hairdos, some kind of vermin for sure! They lost their game but they seemed to shake it off better than they usually do over a loss. Maybe because of the hairy situation, maybe the end of the season, but maybe because they were just so glad to see us. :D Looking forward to an even hairier Thanksgiving but then we can have a nice, clean-shaven Christmas break soon after that!
