Have you ever tried Riesling? I've heard it is similar in light sweet taste. |
OMG! How did I NOT see this thread? I am a wino in every since of the word. I can do just about any kind. I love the Australian wines and we have a local winery here that I recently fell in love with the Habersham Rose. I wish I could ship each one of you a bottle. :D |
Oh, how could I not mention one of my go to wines for just hanging out on the couch is Mad House Wife Zin. It's inexpensive and is just right for just chillin out at home with a good book or movie. Mad Housewife Wine |

At my cousin's wedding all they had was a merlot and chardonnay. I don't remember the brand, but I usually don't like whites bc they seem to sour to me. The red however tasted like water to me. I swear, me, my bro, my other cousin and his wife went around stealing the other tables' wine bottles who didn't really drink. We amassed about 6 bottles by the end of the night. We jacked the bottles from my dad and aunts and uncles' table. It was totally untouched! |
San Sebastian Vintner's red For those of you who like sweet wines, if you can locate this wine I would definitely try it out. The wines are made with muscadine grapes, which is a grape hybrid and the only type of grape that can grow in the state of Florida. I visited the winery in St. Augustine and I LOVED it. They have a bunch of other great tasting wines too :) |

Anyone having a glass (or two...) tonight? I'm drinking a 2009 Karl Erbes Riesling Spatlese. It's pretty good...sweet but not too much so. It's going really well with my Italian Cheesebread :). |
