Interesting thread!
One of my favorites to this day... when you have a cold and a sore throat, mix some honey and some lemon juice mix it and take a spoonful at a time to relieve sore throat.

Pure Vanilla Extract has 35% alcohol in it... I'm not sure the chemistry behind it but that's probably why it works!

I've heard of that, but never tried it. Must be the alcohol content in pure vanilla...35+ %

There is an organ called vilis. I'm still unsure what it does, but you do get sick by it sometimes. According to my aunt anyway. To keep it from ever inflaming, and becoming a problem, she had my cousin buy her one corona at the corner store every morning. She would boiled her corona and then drink it. As far as I know, her vilis never caused her any problems.

Villi are not organs but tiny finger like protrusions in your intestines that help move things along.

I dont think a boiled beer (especially corona-ick) would keep them from becoming inflamed lol.

Yes, but "vilis" from my original post does not refer to the vili in our intestine. I have no idea what the English translation of "vilis" is as it is a made up organ that my family in Mexico seems to think needs treatment. I have asked, and my family said the "vilis" is somewhere next to the pancreas.

Someone told me that putting a bar of soap under your knee will help from getting leg cramps in the middle of the night.

I did not know that!!!! I used it on my skin kids when they were teething. There was no internet and google back then and I guess it didn't hurt them, they are 28 and 30 now
