So I hope your temps don't fall off and can't you get some special 'glue' to stick it back on if it does? I know it's out there but still, hoping it won't happen to you at the wedding! |
I've worked in as a dental asst. the past 13 years. They shouldn't come off, but if they somehow did, you can mix corn starch with a little bit of water and make a paste that will hold them temporarily or Wallmart sells temporary dental glue! Never hurts to be prepared!!! |
Ask your dentist if you can use some temporary cement or something for the wedding should one come off. And watch what you eat and drink while there. I had a temporary cap come off in a similar experience and found some denture cream to use to help hold it on until I got home but it was harrowing until I left and got away from all the people - was sooo scared it would just pop off in front of someone! That thing still stayed on though for hours after that just from that gunk! I was amazed. |
I chipped a front tooth a couple years ago and had to get a veneer put on....the temporary came off within a couple of days. I had to go back almost every day until my permanent was finished to get it put back on. I was careful with it, but it would not stay. My permanent veneer actually cracked a year later (due to a defect by the lab in making it...my dentist was able to see tiny air bubbles after he removed it) and I think the next one stayed a bit longer, but I still had to get it repaired once or twice. For whatever reason, I just did not have much success with temporary veneers! |
