Hi everyone! I've been working really hard on my blog and sewing business. Sam & Loki are such good models for me so we have been able to post a bunch of great sewing tutorials and I have so many more coming up. Please come visit us on my blog!

I love your patterns and tutorials! I'm also a sewer - though with Wally around, I haven't been able to spend as much time at my machine as I could before. :) I will definitely give the harness pattern a try...I might even make him one out of fleece for the cold mornings.

I am a novice sewer...I got a sewing machine and used it only a couple times. Now that you posted these, I will have no reason not to use them!! :D Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks everyone! I'm going to be posting more tutorials - a fleece dog bed is definitely coming soon. I'd also like to make a pattern for another style of carrier. I have lots of non-dog related ideas as well, it's so fun to keep making stuff for Sam & Loki :)

Is there anything you would like to know how to make? Basically the way I decide between pattern & tutorial is how complex the instructions and design are (and therefore how much time I spend on it - tutorials take me a day or two, patterns take several weeks). For things like the harnesses with multiple sizes - every dog is different and so I couldn't possibly sell a pattern with every size so I just made a tutorial showing HOW to make the harness, and posted Sam & Loki's sizes.

I've made hanging bells, but they were so simple I just posted the finished picture, but that is something I would happily post a tutorial for if there is an interest!

Love it! I think you do a pretty good job explaining things. I have a hard time following direction like this and can't sew very well. Someday I keep saying I'm going to take lessons but I never seem to do it! Maybe I'll try the bed one of these days! I'd love to see a tutorial on the hanging bells!

Thanks for sharing! I would love to learn how to sew with my machine. I am a scrapbooker and I know this might sound crazy, but my machine rarely touches fabric. I sew onto a lot of my scrapbooking projects (layouts, cards, etc.) I'll check out your blog! :)

Erin, I adore this bed and would love to make it! Do you think it would be hard to have a lined inner ball and the outside cover with a zipper for washing purposes? Where would you suggest a zipper?

As some know...Bella likes to bring treats to her bed (and her sister's beds:rolleyes:) that are let's just say less than edible to the average dog. Thus the reason for a washable cover.

Btw...I also signed up for your blog and hoping to be a winner and get a free pattern for the Sammy Bag to make, too!:p

I absolutely love the bed tutorial!!!! I am going to make one or two or three for my guys:D Your instructions are so easy to follow and you have such creative ideas.
