The poem is beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us. Today is always a day filled with such mixed emotions. I lost my mom thirty five years ago, and not a day goes by that I don't think of her or miss her. I still dream of her all of the time, and I see her beautiful face smiling upon me. I also celebrate today, because of how special my mom was and the fact that I can feel her love so deeply after all of these years. When people tell me that I am just like her, it is the greatest compliment of all. I was very lucky to have been so close to my mom. I have idolized her my entire life, and I wish I could have protected her from the pain she endured in her life. We both always knew how much we loved each other, and it's a comforting thought. It is a love that I am so sure of and one that is so everlasting

I'm sorry for all of you who know the pain of losing your moms. I hope the special memories can also bring a smile to your hearts the way mine do for me. It's a difficult day, but it is also a very special one.

Thanks for posting such a beautiful poem. This is my 4th Mother's Day without my wonderful Mom. It never gets easier.

Patti you are so right moms are a precious memory that we all share..i hope everyone had a blessed day even though it is always sad for some

Mother's day is hard for me too. My Mom died in 1989...and it still can be tough.

My Grammy died late Saturday night, so Sunday was not a good day

my mom passed in 1988 the year before yours but i still miss her so much
