I received a lot of false email here's lately asking for my name and password or I'll be banned from Ebay. It says something about having to verify information blah blah blah. be careful. Remember if an email is actually from ebay it will also show up in your mail on your my ebay page.

suzu1- If you come across any old Dean Koontz book (prior to 1974) or Deanna Dwyer or Brian Coffey (both Dean Koontz psydanyms (sp)). I would be happy to pay you more than a dime for them if I don't have them already and then you won't have to pay ebay fees.

That one way to view mail from eBay. You can also set your mail perferences through your my eBay page to html only. Then any "official" email from ebay comes without any pictures, just text. Course the scammers don't know HOW your preferences are set and their emails come complete w/ official looking ebay logos. This does not affect any other emails you may receive elsewhere.

Forgot to add.....my sil's family lives in Nebaska and Kansas. The nearest stores are 75 miles away. They do ALOT of shopping on line via ebay. Not everyone lives in the 'burbs.

Just so you know, you can get into a lot of trouble by contacting these bidders...especially if the seller finds out or one of the bidders just wants to start trouble for you.... Just wanted to give you the heads up.

I just wanted to say that I live in a small town that only ahs a walmart. I have to drive over an hour or so to go to places like Targetor wherever. I fi can buy something im looking for off ebeay that may cost more than if you just go buy it that smy preference and its doesnt make me stupid!!!!! :mad: Id rather pay 2.25 for the stuff and 4.00 for shipping rather than 1.00 for it and 30.00 in gas. Nobody should judge anybody without knowing there situation. Hooray to the ones that can save that big old 1.75 but for us that cant help it we shouldnt be looked down on. Its really none of your business!! :mad:

I don't think the poster had meant you in particular. Don't take offense in it. But you are right. Not everyone lives in a town that carries all of those stores.

I use to be an e-bay fanatic simply because I didn't want the hassles of going out and buying things. I'd rather just shop at home, have it delivered to my home and not have to mess with traffic jams or people jams in the isles...PLUS, it saved a lot of time.

I know it wasnt for me personally but i am one of "those people"! Just ticks me off when ppl open their mouth and dont know what the circumstance is. Not everybody lives in a town with a target, kohls, or whatever...It just got me upset when they said those ppl must be stupid!!!! :mad: They shouldnt even worry about.its not their money!! I hope they get in trouble for going to that bidder..i hope they get thrown off because AGAIN, IT WASNT THEIR BUSINESS TO MESS WITH!!! Im not yelling at you tx shopper..just ticked off!! I still love ya! :)
