So much so that I wont be getting much sleep tonight myself. :D I could run a 5K right now. I want to make signs out of paper bags and run through my little town cheering "USA! USA! USA!" lol

Just read on Twitter that it was announced on May 1, 1945, that Hitler was dead.

Personally, I would have preferred him to have been held accountable for his actions against the scores of families he destroyed rather than been given such a quick and easy death. Shot in the head--fatal wound--lucky, that's more than many of my fellow service members have been given. That's more than his "prisoners of war" were given, should we have recorded his death so his family and "friends" could witness his head being removed, slowly as he screams for it to end?

In my humble opinion, his death was too easy.

As a side note, all the pics I've been seeing cropping up have been pretty heart warming. I Love Americans, the pride comes seeping out of the screen when I look at the images of college students driving around waving a flag, scores of people standing at ground zero. Finally some semblance of closure for the families affected by 9/11 and all the events after.

A huge thank you to the US military and any/all people responsible for his death. Finally all the families that lost loved ones on 9/11 can have some satisfaction. God Bless America.

He is still going to have to be accountable, IMO. He will just be facing a different judge and courts. However, I do agree with the feelings that the others must feel who had family members that did not have a quick and easy death. I feel for them daily and pray that the Lord will bless the families that have dealt with so much.

Disagree. It is better that he was killed. With our Liberal Attorney General and President, it would have been a farce and most likely, it would have taken years for a trial, and then they would debate where to hold it, civil or military, etc....all the while, driving the radicals and Government officials that hide him crazy. He could have been taken out by Clinton, but he was more concerned with the Blue Dress than making a decision. Just becauseh e is dead, does not mean this snake was beheaded. More vigalence is needed, and take it to them.

I feel like we're all getting a big group hug by God at once! It is so good to see people come together, celebrate and chant, and have some closure. God bless the USA. We'll all remember 911 and we'll all remember this day too. Thank you to our service men and women.

I agree with this completely.

I watched the news last night until I finally passed out and fell asleep. Thank God that evil bastard is dead!

I am proud to be an American and just want to thank our military for keeping us safe. :thumbup: I appreciate you so much and just want to give each and every one of them a 'thank you'.

I have not read through all the posts yet on this thread... but I really think ALL thanks goes to our service men, not the president.... or any one man!

While many have at some time have probably played out in their mind the torture Osama should be subjected to, I believe he was held accountable...he had to look into the steely eyes of a magnificent U.S. Navy Seal, as he was shot, knowing the U.S. would take pride in this moment of his death!

May 1st should be an international holiday - two of the most evil human monsters were "removed from office" on this day, and it is reason for celebration.

I'm not sure that I believe it was as simple as a bullet to the head :D. I would think that the small group that entered that compound had taken an oath of silence as to what would take place when he was captured. And since he was "buried at sea" we'll never know.

The President wouldn't have had the power to decide where his trial would be held. He is not above International Law. Remember, it was our liberal President that gave the order to shoot him.
