Crochet Harness Pattern 1 Attachment(s) I just ran across the perfect harness pattern to crochet! It is just right for our yorkies and the price is right too -- FREE! Here is the link: Ravelry: EASY DOG HARNESS pattern by Tisha LeBreton and picture is below. I plan to make several soon. It says to use Red Heart Comfort. I'm not familiar with that yarn, but I thought I would buy some of those spools of nylon and give that a try. May have to adjust for gauge but better than a yarn that might stretch. I am excited to give it a try. Anyone else a crochet addict like me? |
Neat! I'll have to dust off my crocheting skills and give this a try. |
Oh yeah! I'm in! Going to by stuff tomorrow... Thanks a bunch!:D |
Oh my gosh those are so pretty! I WISH I knew how to crochet/knit. :/ I'd love to buy one from whoever gets addicted to churning them out though. :D:D |

I'm sure there will be some of us who will be happy to share. :) I'll have a lot of time on my hands soon, so I'm sure I can make some for a few friends too. I'll probably get down to the crafts store by next week. |

That looks like it would be great for our little ones. Dang, wish I could crochet too. Can wait to see how it turns out and if it works good. |
As always I will be glad to crochet anything you'd like. I have a similar pattern with a matching leash. Just pm me and I can work with you.:D |
Has anyone attempted it yet? I cannot read those instructions. I learned by seeing than by following a written pattern. I winged it, and I'm at 80% done with it. It's not looking too great because: a) I haven't done any crocheting in a very, VERY long time b) I'm using whatever odds and ends I could find at home. I found some yarn my mom is no longer using, and some of her old needles. The set is incomplete, and my crocheting might be too tight. Hm... we'll see. I'll post pics of the finished product. I changed the pattern a smidge because that shape has chaffed Kaji in the past. I'm going to go out and buy some D-rings and give it a whirl with my little man. I'll be putting a lot of faith in his recall. :p |

My concern with a yarn harness is that it would stretch and cause an escape hazard. Does it seem stretchy? |

Do any of you knit? I wonder if a linen stitch would hold tighter since it's more of a weave, less of a knit... I'll have to try and play with one. :) |

Well, I haven't started mine yet LOL. Can't seem to get off of YT! But as Fldeb stated, nylon crochet cord doesn't stretch at all. I could only find it in black though. Thinking about spinning it together with a netallic cord for some sparkle. I looked at the cotton, but I think that may rot over time. Didn't like the D rings I found, and have been playing around (in my head) with some other ideas to reinforce and strengthen high stress areas, and a way to make it adjustable. Different stitches in both knitting and crochet can be done to make it less stretchy (some have much more 'give' than others), and I want to find a stich or combo that looks great too. So check back with me next year some time...haha... I hope not that long....:D |
