| Son or Daughter?? When you talk about your babies to others, do you refer to them your "son"/"daughter"? I don't conceider them my son/daughter I just call them my babies.

| I call mine my babies. We have personalized our pets so much though that I almost don't feel right calling them dogs or even writing it in email! |

| No, never. Usually if I don't really know the person I'm talking to, she is "my dog" or "my Yorkie". Otherwise, it's "the Princess" or "my girl/the girl". Rarely it's "the furkid". She's a dog and she definitely isn't my daughter.

| I thought I was going crazy because I read someone here call their baby "their son". I thought it was strange and was just wondering if others refer to them this way. I always say," where are the babies" or something like that. They each have a pet name that we call them like Coco is "Coke Man", Pebbles is "P girlie", Trixie is "Trix" and Wally is "Wal" hehe But I don't call them my son/daughter, I have those already. Hmmm..

| I call Sammy the baby. When I talk to my sons about him, I say your brother. Or I will say to Sammy -Is your brother here, where's your brother? |

| I have seen a couple posts where people refer to them as son/daughter, and I too find it confusing. I usually miss the whole point of the post not knowing who they are talking about. It doesn't mean I (or we) love them any less, I just don't use those terms for my pup-pups.

| Talk about confused. I thought the topic was our skin kids not our pups before I read the replies. I call them my babies, pups or furkids. I also agree with sugarmama: One dtr is enough. I love my dtr, but sometimes......

| I have a son but call Tibbe my Yorkie, dog, baby, furbaby, dogkid, furkid. I guess I call him my "Yorkie" to others more than anything.
