| No Longer a Member | Does anyone have or use the Roomba to help cut down on the ammount of vaccuming you do? I've been considering one of these for a while but I'm curious...if you do have one how does your yorkie/cat/other dog respond to it? If I eventually invest in one of these, which would be nice for the cat hair/litter, I don't want to come home one day to a destroyed Roomba because Rizzo decided he didn't like it ![]() Links if you don't know what I'm talking about: iRobot: Roomba Robots Expensive, hence the reason I've been considering for a long while, and probably will continue thinking about them. I would like to hear real responses, other than the reviews on the store's website. That's usually what I find when researching on them. |

| I wanted to get one but thought it was a little expensive. Sammy would probably think it was a large dog toy for him and try to attack it! |

| No Longer a Member | I kind of figured that Rizzo may feel the same way...and that he may get Fatso into it as well and completely destroy the thing. Then again I can't keep the thought of Rizzo with doggles riding it around the house, lol. |

| My mom has one, and I don't think she uses it anymore. It would get stuck in places and make loud beeping noises and was more work than she had anticipated. Her cats would hide from it. However, hers was one of the first models so maybe they've improved on them.

| I bought one about 6 weeks ago AND I LOVE IT!!!! At first my boys were a little freaked out and followed it around jumping frantically. I stopped it and put treats on top of it so they would know it was ok and wouldn't harm them. I did the "touch" command so they put their noses to it and then ate the treat. Max accidentally pushed the big button and turned it on by himself once! Now my boys are so used to it they just lay in the living room and ignore it while I yell "watch out, it's coming!". I haven't had any issues with mine. It will clean 1 or 2 rooms on 1 battery charge, but you normally keep it charged all day. It takes quite a while to clean a room. For example, a bedroom can take an hour to complete. But to me, it doesn't matter. I'm not vacuuming! It doesn't harm wires at all and I do feel that it gives my floors a really thorough clean. I love it and have no issues with it. Highly recommend!

| I AGREE!!! I bought one a couple years ago. HATE it. It does the beping and stopping too. My dh keeps it plugged in and uses it every once in a while. I wanted to send it back before our trial was over, and he said no. WASTE of money IMHO.

| I got my Roomba almost 2 years ago and still run it almost everyday I LOVE it!! We lived in Georgia at the time I got it and had a terrible time with fleas which is the whole reason I bought one. I could run it everyday and it picked up the larvae and eggs and helped me get rid of my flea problem!! The only complaint I have is it really doesn't clean very deep so I still vaccuum once a week with my regular vaccuum but the roomba has helped with both mine and Mitzy's allergies immensely!! It's fairly easy to clean and empty too

| No Longer a Member | See, lol, these are the kinds of reviews I just keep seeing. People either love it and say nothing but great things, or they hate it. I guess when I get back to the US I'll get one and give it a try, I think they do a full refund if you return it within a certain timeframe. I think it's worth giving a test trial, it's rough keeping up with cat hair and litter. |

| I got one a few months ago and think it is great. Duke has no interest in it and Piper was interested in it at first and now ignores it. The only thing that sucks for me is that is sucks up so much of Duke's hair that I need to clean it every time. But if you are just doing cat hair/litter it would be perfect. I will admit, it is slightly creepy when the battery gets drained and brings itself back to the charging station and lines its self up and re docks. |

| I have one and Baby HATES it. She barks like crazy. I got it to cut down on the work, but her barking makes it worse. Grrrr

| I am also a Roomba owner, love it. The dog ignores it and the cat challlenges it. I am also proud to announce that in 2009 I was a PROUD member of the Roomb Advisory Board (must be all those online suggestions I made at their website).
