The good news is, when I got in my car I had an offer for an interview at an insurance company that is three blocks from my house! So I have an interview on Tuesday. (Man job searching is a rollercoaster). Still thinking of you for Monday. I hope you get it :) |
Hi! My interview went great today! It was scheduled from 9-11am and it went until almost noon!! The hiring manager said that he has a few more interviews this week but he'll be back in touch early next week and that I was a strong candidate for the position. Woohooo :) Im SOOO hoping for this job!!! Deon good luck with your interview tomorrow!!! :) Keep us posted! |
Keeping my fingers crossed for you both. |
:d yeah for you girls!!! |

YEA!!! Happy it went well. Will keep praying for you. |
Sending you lots of good luck!!!! |
Thank you ALL SOOOOOO SOOOOOO much!!!!! Today is a typical 'Monday morning' here... I know it's tuesday, but yesterday was a holiday so we had the day off. So my boss came in beyond pissy for no reason that we know of, like she does EVERY monday morning! Come on... Mondays are bad enough, why make them worse for us because SHE has an attitude. The guy I work with is a pathetic man who has been here so long, he's afraid of change and he cows to our boss and stays quiet and pretty much is just a giant butt-kisser. I really really really need to get out of here for real!!! When you spend 40+ hours a week in a place, it really should be more pleasant. I'm already mentally checked out, doing my job, flying below the radar and praying I get to give my 2 week notice. Oh joy!! |

My interview went well, seeing it's a holiday on Friday she said she'd be in touch within the week or so. |

If I did not I'm going to be SUPER devastated! I went for a second interview, was told informally that I got it and they are supposedly checking references. They did tell me it could be 2 weeks before I hear from them with a formal offer. Still praying and keeping my fingers crossed! I really REALLY need to get out of here. I'm sooo preparing myself that I started documenting everything I do here, cuz I know if I give my notice that is what my boss will want me to do. |
 Oh Fantastic !!!! I'm still rooting for ya. |
Still hoping all goes well. I didn't get the Insurance job, but I've got another interview today, and one tomorrow. The one today is as an admin assistant for a real estate company, and the other on is a greater/front desk at the hotel right across the street from my house. I just hope I get a job somehow/soon. |

I have such mixed feelings about her, that in itself is stressful! I think on a personal level she is a GREAT person. She is thoughtful and goes out of her way for people. She always gets cards for people here and has us sign them to mail off, like when a family member dies. She baked me a homemade chocolate cake and decorated it with my school's logo when I graduated from college last year because she heard me say all I wanted was a homemade chocolate cake! AND she took up a collection and got me a $50 gift card for the cruise we went on the week after I graduated. These are just a couple of the super nice things she does for people just because. But then there is another side of her... controlling, moody, micromanager. It's really hard when shes always up and down. We call her Sybil (from that movie) because it does seem like she has 14 different personalities. |
I feel SOOO guilty! I am part of some big project going on here. The woman who is doing the installation from the vendor is coming out on the week I am supposed to have off for furlough (unpaid time off) May 23-28. My boss is saying that we can't do it that week bc Im off and I finally said I'd 'rearrange' my furlough time and be here. Honestly I did it because I don't want them to arrange her visit around my schedule when its possible I might not even be here for it. This waiting is really hard! We always have 1,000,000 projects going on and we are launching like 5 new things in may. I feel guilty about leaving in the middle (if I do) but honestly it's always like this, there is NEVER a good time to give your notice. You just need to do it. |
I still have NO official word! Today is 2 weeks since the interview! I'm really ready to pull my hair out! Each day that goes by is another 2 weeks before I get to leave my current job!!!!! :( |
That's so frustrating. When I was a hiring manager we always got back to the candidate within a week or less. I hope you hear soon. |
O-M-G!!!!!!! :( I got the job, but I didn't get it (yet anyways) The company had a reorganization last week, laid of 45 people from all the departments, and are hiring 45 people for 1 specific dept across all offices. They put any positions that were open and not related to those 45 positions on hold. I guess the manager who interviewed me wants me in there and he is trying to get my position off of hold so he can hire me at least. Might not happen for up to 2 months! :( I\'m supposed to call on thursday for an update. Please all please send good vibes. I can\'t seem to catch a break and I REALLY need this job for my mental state of health at this point! aaaahhhhhhh |
Oh that\'s frustrating. Hope you get good news on Thursday. |
Thanks Patti! I feel like just crying today! :( This is just a huge blow to me. I guess that is what happens when you get your hopes up. I shouldn\'t have gotten my hopes up so much. I\'m so disappointed. I hate to be such a downer, but seriously nothing EVER seems to be \'easy\' for me. Everything in my life is such a struggle, fight and claw my way through each battle, I usually come out ahead but I\'m more and more beat down and scarred up after each success. I just wonder if I\'ll EVER get a break somehow. |
you got a break.. you have all of us sending the best of thoughts and wishes. Please hang in there, keep looking for jobs and it will work out. It is not over yet.... Good luck |
Still routing for you! I hope you get a job there. I know what it\'s like to be in a job that is just bad for your mental health and that was only a short term job, I can only imagine what it\'s like being at a place like that for a long time. It\'ll all work out.... hang in there. |
