I won't spoil it yet... ;p |
I believe the answer is 288.. 48÷2(9+3) 48 ÷ 2 x (9+3) 48 ÷ 2 x 12 24 x 12 =288 After the parentheses, there is only multiplication and division left to do, and they follow left to right. |

I just put it in Google calculator and it also gave 288 lol. COULD GOOGLE BE WRONG TOO??? |

If that were the case, shouldn't the problem read (48 /2)x(9+3) ? |
48/2(9+3)= 48/2(12) 48/24 =2 PEMDAS parenthisis exponents mutiplication division addition subtraction Order of operations....what to do first |
Based on where the parentheses are: 48÷2(9+3) 48/2(12) 48/24 2 to get 288 as a result, the equation would have to be: (48/2)(9+3) |
This is over my head. LOL |
My scientific calculator and this (Web 2.0 scientific calculator) web scientific calculator also give 288... Lol but I do see the debate on lots of forums! |
you're telling me i can get my daughters AP Algebra answered here? and google has a calculator?? omgsh! is there anything YT can't do??:p:p |
