The highlighter colors make me go cross-eyed. I can't finish reading a sentence written in those colors. |
Use font color #F5F5FF if you want to write a secret message! :D Nancy1999 is a nerd! Highlight to see message. (I was one of those kids who loved making invisible ink!) |
Now one thing i noticed today that I can read short posts in colored fonts its the long ones that bothered me |
Long colored fonts bother my eyes too, but the way I look at it, they are expressing their personality. It's just who they are. :) |

It doesn't bother me to just not read it if I can't. If I could read my own posts in pink I'd do it too! Anywhere I can put pink, I will. :D |
I agree we should post in whatever style we want. Still sometimes the harder-to-read posts also have to get skipped by the optically challenged, darn it. I hate that I have to abandon reading some things all the way through or just skip them all together but that is just the way it is on occasion with the eyes. But I love the colored fonts for fun posts or just a couple of words. It fancies things up and makes them special from time to time. |

For me it is as another poster called them "highlighter colors" -- perfect explanation. I started typing out each color and realized it is the bright colors of the Multi - Highlighter packs. Sometimes I will try to use a different color when I am quoting back and forth between people. I usually try to stick with colors like dark or bright blue, purple, or the dark brick red; but not the lighter ones. I really agree about the run on paragraphs and no punctuations! Drives me crazy. Just breaking into a few paragraphs instead of one long one an make reading it a breeze. I don't understand the leaving out punctuation either -- maybe they are typing on a phone and it does sometimes require going back to another screen to get punctuation but it is not that hard. People have given me patience with all of my typos though (especially since I have this nerve problem in my left hand) So, I am trying not to complain of any one individual's thread. It doesn't bother me enough to put someone in particular on the spot. Still, I am hoping too that they read this thread! :) |

I agree. Honestly, I have just been skipping over most of the odd colored fonts because it is too annoying to read. |

Too bad this can't be moved to the "general" section, or can it? |
Generally speaking, I think if you would like one particular person to change their post font, maybe just address them directly and kindly say their post font is hard to read. It doesn't seem all that effective to start a thread and hope that a few specific members happen to read it. |

I have never had a problem being direct with people. I will say that I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.....but that would not really prevent me from saying something if I felt the need. As it is, one of them has been put on ignore and I am not missing whatever they are saying so there is no real need for me to say anything to them. I see the other has made some changes. I actually like reading what she has to say, so I am glad she has changed hers. The other....well perhaps someone can say something if they care to read her stuff....I simply don't care enough. |
I see. That makes sense. I've never known you to hesitate on directness. ;) |
