What does it mean when your hands and legs tingle? I've been sick since 4am this morning, and I will spare you the gory details, but I have had a slight fever all day, and arms and legs tingling, shivering and cold, yet high temp. I also puked too. Don't know if it was something I ate. BF and I eat the same thing each day, but he didn't get sick. Oh I have muscle aches too. I feel like when I am starting to get the flu, but without the scratchy throat or cough. Lord help me! LOL I need my strength to work! |
Cold and shivers can be from a fever, and so can the achiness. When I have a fever, the skin on my arms and legs kind of tingles and they are almost painful to touch...really hypersensitive. That is EXACTLY how I feel when I get a stomach bug! :( Are you still getting sick? I would take tomorrow off if you can...you might not be physically ill in the morning but you sure wont feel like doing anything more than getting up to use the bathroom! I hope you feel better soon! |
my whole body feels like that about to fall off a ladder feeling, if that makes sense. I haven't had any more bathroom issues since I got some otc meds, but I still feel all poopy. I layed down for about two hours today but I feel the same. and I'm not hungry, which is surprising for me. |
I know exactly what you mean by falling off a ladder. Granted, I'm not a doctor, but that is exactly how I would describe feeling with a stomach flu. :( Definitely wouldn't have an appetite either! I know it's common sense, but do drink plenty of water/gatoraid. Being even just a little dehydrated makes you feel so much worse. The last one I had kicked my butt. I didn't eat a full meal for 2 weeks afterwards, and I've never felt so close to death! (drama queen ;) ) Sleep sleep sleep! |
I'm sorry Priscilla :( I hate being sick!! I really have no advise besides get to a vet ASAP :sidesplt: J/k I hope you are feeling better!! |
LOL, yes, go to a vet right away...eat a little plain, canned pumpkin...have some Nutrical on hand. Hope you feel better very soon. :) |
Oh no! I hope you feel better soon...:D |
you can also try some emmetrol for your nausea, it seems to be easier to take than pepto bismol, then maybe that works you can nibble some dry toast or something. one thing that sucks is that once you reallly have an empty stomach you feel sick, then you can eat, then feel sick and on and on. once you do get something in your stomach you can try some motrin, tylenol, or aspirin for your fever...hope you feel better soon!:) p.s. you guys are so funny up there....always trying to get somebody to rack up a vet bill, lol.:p |
This is how I felt a few weeks ago when I was getting the flu! I ended up in bed for 4 days- I lived on chicken soup, sprite, and tea. I hope you feel better soon! |
I get muscle cramps and tingly feelings whenever I'm really dehydrated. Hope you feel better soon! Bonny |
I work in as high school and there are several "flu's" going around right now. I would suspect you have the stomach one that is going around. Most important advice is to stay hydrated..gatorade, water etc. I do hope you feel better soon. |
I had a stomach bug couple weeks ago and felt just like that. Ugh..it is really awful. Try to get lots of rest and keep drinking to hydrate. DH made me homemade chicken soup, seems thats all I could keep down. Hope you start to feel better soon. |
Is Gravol available in the States ? Here that's what we can buy also if you go to Hospital and have any kind of nauseous they give you that in a needle. It really works. I make sure I have some in my medicine cabinet at all times. It will make you sleepy though. |
Thanks guys. I went to bed early last night. I woke up a few times in a cold sweat, like drenched, gross. I feel better now. strong enough to work, but still not hungry. I had some chicken soup yesterday, mostly ate the veggies and broth, didn't really care to eat the meat. I guess the pumpkin did the trick. ;) |
If you arms and legs are tingling, chances are you're dehydrated. If you cant keep any food down....at least "try" to get some Gatoraide or Pedialyte in you. Start off with very small sips and work your way up to bigger volumes. Hope you feel better quickly!! |
