I hate being a woman! My whole body aches, I have puked twice today, I think my body may be trying to turn itself inside out, I'm fat and bloated and I hate everyone! Why do we need to do this every month!? God, I hate being a woman sometimes! I just want to be home in bed with my little Lula, a book and a bottle of wine until this is over. |

I am sooo glad those days are over for me. Sending you hugs. |

Don't worry. It doesn't last. In not too many years, that will all be a memory and you will worry instead about the moustache and beard you are now growing. |

Yes.... but what does any of that have to do with french fries and pickles? I have an hour and a half left of work and then it's junk food and PJ time. |

I hope this makes your young woman problem seem pale by comparison. ;) |

Lucky me - I never had to deal with power surges due to an emergency spay procedure when I was 40. And yes, you stop running because you're afraid of falling, but you still burn the calories on a different activity - looking for your glasses (on your head), your cellphone (the one you're talking on) and your keys (hanging in the door). Dieting is actually becoming easier, because so many of the "bad" things that get you in trouble cause indigestion. No more Cheezits or Cokes for me. But the calories sure don't burn off as easily as they used to. |

Listen, you wacky old biddies. You hijacked my thread! We are talking about young people’s problems right now :P …. Fried pickles and vanilla ice cream…. Mmm |

I don't think that you necessarily have to be an "old biddie" to have the problems these women are describing. True, some of these problems are more pronounced with age, but geez I'm only 30 and have some of the problems they are describing! Now, back to subject. Yes, there are many days I too despise that time of the month. In fact I'm sure EVERY woman does at some point. It IS however, the perfect time that I can have an excuse to eat all the chocolate I want! ;) |

Love this thread!!!!! You guys just gave me a good laugh!!! I love the phrase "power surge". Just had one about 10 minutes ago...:) |

Hey, she's in pain and grouchy. She needs sympathy. :) I have bad cramps sometimes, but I never thrown up. Have you talked to a doctor about this? It sounds like maybe you need to go on the Pill, or some other medication to alleviate your symptoms. |

 Oh, Ok.... |

I'm going to take that as a compliment, you young whippersnapper! But we're not hijacking your thread. We're just trying to make you feel better. See how much you have to look forward to? Some day when you have the top half of your anatomy hanging around your knees, which pop and creak when you walk, you will look back on the bloating, nausea, and anger and get all nostalgic. |

I had to ask what that meant from my step-daughter. I gues I am old and for sure wacky..but by far a biddy. |

Ok Ok Ladies. I posted a light rant about how I hate my period. One person out of how many of you hoped I would feel better. One. The rest of you saw this as an opportunity to tell me about how you have it worse. You really want to get into it. I have endometriosis and every month it feels like I am going though child birth. It is possible that is it due to the cancer surgery and treatments I went though at 18. I am not able to take the pill because of said treatments and yes, I am moody and “hate everyone”. So please don’t get pissy because I jokingly a bunch of ladies complaining about menopause “wacky old biddies”. Now, I'm going to drink wine and cuddle with my dog. |

 I hope you feel better soon.:ghug: |

Well the endometriosis explains it all for me! I too have the same thing! It is VERY painful! P.S. I've given birth 5 times and it is very comparible to that, just excrutiating! As soon as my youngest gets old enough I plan on a hysterectomy. I do hope you can get some relief soon. What a blessing you are to have been through so much at your young age. A cancer survivor and all. :) |

For being a "light rant" ...we took it as such! This is an Off Topic discussion that I guess that got off topic, but it was not meant to make light of your situation 'cause we did not know the severity of your condition. I truly hope you feel better and I will some wine for you too....:) |

you were me last week! uggg. i hate it too. and then when i stop having these period things for nine months i suffer through puking my guts out and feeling like crap until I have to go through the most pain a woman can possibly endure in childbirth...then it's back to periods until i'm older and then menopause which sucks even more.... phew. i feel better |

Oh, Jessica. This old biddy wasn't trying to make you feel worse. Seriously. I thought you started the thread with a humorous touch and I was merely trying to go along with it. I never suffered with periods - to me they were just an inconvenience to be dealt with - so I can't share your pain but I can certainly sympathize. A nice cuddle with your dog sounds like a good idea. And maybe a chocolate bar, pint of Ben and Jerry's, and a couple of frozen Margaritas. So hugs to you and I hope you feel better soon. Sincerely. Can we be friends again when you feel a little better? |

margaritas sound amazing....cept i can't drink during the month now... only on weeks that i do have my period since ya know drinking won't hurt anything that week :D see how many ppl guess that hint! XD |

RachelandSadie, You must be trying to get preggers! Or lactating?? I'm gonna go with the first as it seems to make more sense. :D |
